    • Good for an occasional planter
This set would be great for an occasional planter or use. As a heavy planter/gardener it isn’t working for me. The handles aren’t easy for me to hold because they are smaller and straight unpadded. The metal where it connects to the wood tends to wobble and feels like it’s going to break easily. I used it a couple of times then gave it to my grandmother that loves it for her. This garden set has everything you need to tend to your garden. It comes in a really nice bag that's sturdy and makes it easier to carry things around.

    • Fairly good materials but very sloppy workmanship.
Based on the materials used this set has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the workmanship is terrible. The steel part of the tools is not bad at all, but the way it is formed into tools is sorely lacking. The sides of the metal parts is roughly chopped off, with uneven and sometimes sharp edges. The attachment of the metal parts to the handles is just plain bad. Each is held on to the wood handle with just one small screw, and every one of them was very loose. I was able to tighten most of them up, but one is still floppy. How long they will hold is questionable. The first time I used them the screw fell out of the handle and it came apart. The hole is stripped and the screw won't hold the handle on to the metal, so I'll have to figure out a better way to put it back together.Very disappointing. The pruning shears are decent, all things considered. They are pretty sharp and will cut a 1/4 inch branch without too much effort or discomfort. The bag is okay, but the pockets are a bit short for such long tools. So overall, these are not at all impressive but may be useful if they manage to avoid falling apart and you are careful enough to avoid getting cut by the sharp edges. I hope this helps. I love this garden tool set! What I love the most about this kid is that it comes with a bag that I can place all of my tools in on my way to the garden and then put them all back for safekeeping- The tools are good size and have everything that I need for my small herb garden and pepper plants! The kit even comes with pruning shears which is nice to have on hand! The tools feel solid- Excited to have this kit this spring! ... show more

    • Good gardening tool set
This gardening tool set is a good set to get anyone started in the garden. We are beginner gardeners and this set has helped us get our garden started. We have been able to easily plant and grow some vegetables and some fruit. This set has even helped us pull get ride of weeds and small plants that we do not want in our garden. The different tools you get help with different parts of gardening and the carrying case is nice and sturdy. The tools themselves are built well and hold up well. The shears are a nice bonus too. The bag sure is a big help when moving from spot to spot.. don't have to make but one trip . The garden tool are pretty sturdy and the bag is made of heavy fabric.
