This Harigal garden trowel is very strong. I do not expect it to bend when lifting dirt or digging into the soil. I like that it is made of stainless steel, which makes it so durable, plus it should never rust. The handle is cushioned and very comfortable to hold, thus making its use for extended periods of time not as tiresome as some other brands of garden trowels. The black-and-yellow color of the handle does help to keep it from getting lost when it is misplaced or has fallen into some foliage. Plus, the colors combined with the silvery stainless steel makes it an attractive tool. I have used this now for two weeks, and it is superb. A great garden tool at a great price.
