I ended up not needing to keep this so I can’t exactly say whether or not it holds up BUT I did unpack everything and can say it all appeared very sturdy. The extension pieces for tools were a pretty decent length, I’m 5’4” and it extended to about chest height which is much better than the handheld tools I was working with. The clippers that came with this were definitely heavy duty as well. Giving it a 4 star review overall since I ended up not needing to make use of these and can’t give an updated review on well they will hold up.

I love this selection of small tools. The thin shovels are especially great for planting seeds easily. They could all be just a little longer, but still work pretty well for light work. Pretty good value for everything that's included.

These are really nice tools! I expected them to bend or break with moderate pressure, like other tools I have used in a similar price range. These, however, far outshined those tools! The quality is exception, with perfect machining and finish. The extension handles screw on easily and hold in place. The spades and cultivator are sharp enough to cut through the soil, but won't cut your hand. The tools feel incredibly sturdy and robust. The hand pruners were sharp and cut cleanly though flower stems, as well as branches of 1/4 inch thick and a bit more. I couldn't get them to cut through anything close to half-inch thick, and they certainly didn't cut as easily through branches as my Felco. Then again, they are part of a set that cost about 1/3 the cost of my Felco pruners! At the current $20, this set offers a fantastic value on high quality tools. It is also very attractive, and would make a great gift for someone just getting into gardening, or any gardener whose tools could use an upgrade.

I like that the tools have 2 piece handles so I can either use them long or can shorten them. There's a rubber cap that can be changed from the extension to the shorter pole to use at that length without a metal edge being open. I also like that the ends screw on since another tool I had the shovel was welded on and I managed to break it off. These ends have a long thin metal extension from the area that screws on to the handle. So far today they worked okay in the garden but I doubt they will last more than a season and I live in Florida where we have sand and few rocks. This would not work long in soil with lots of rocks. I thought the trowel I broke was a better quality so I'm going to be gentle with these to have them last the season. Dislikes: those pruning shears are the quality you would expect at a dollar store. The blades are not even smooth when I ran my finger along to see if they were sharp, they were jagged - not like a saw but not where I would want to use them on a delicate plant or expect a smooth cut. The spring setup is strange, I've never seen one like it before and it's awkward especially if you want to prune a plant with lots of branches that could get caught in it. I'm not putting it anywhere near my tomato or other delicate stemmed plants.

Did I really need more tools for my gardening chores? When I opened the box, a pair of excellent clippers were on top. Sturdy and well-designed, these clippers work better than my special "branded" one that closes on me when I tip them upside down to nip a branch. So annoying. The four included tools, including a weeder, claw, and two trowels are well-designed. I think the weeder, with the handle extension, is genius - the less bending I do to take out the undesirables the more I love working in my garden. The handle additions, making each tool approximately 30 inches long are an added benefit and a real game changer. The extenders connect tightly to the tool handles and feel rugged, strong enough to dig in the ground and lift a plant. These are steel, with a good finish - I plan on getting a few years of use out of this set, and recommend this set. A nice gift for any gardening friends too. These tools are for grownup gardeners, BTW.
