We ordered this tetherball pole thinking it'd be fun to play with our kids. My 9 year old was very excited to try it. After assembling the pole and inflating the ball I showed him how to serve. The ball immediately came off the rope. No problem. I re-tied it and we started back up. On my first good rally I noticed that the pole was starting to lean. I paused and retightened the lowest joint and we kept playing. I tightened it three more times before it broke at the stamped threads. The ball seems fine (which is why I gave 2 stars vs 1) so we'll keep it as a replacement for the new tetherball set that we immediately ordered.

This is fun to play, the kids love it. It's easy to set up, the only thing that I can think of as a downfall to it is that when it is at the full 10ft height it sways a lot more than it should. We were afraid that it would break so we took some of the links off and made it shorter and it still has a good bit of sway too it even like this. But it's perfect for the kids to play and they are having a blast with it.

This tether ball kit is great. Set up is simple and easy to do. The set is good quality from the pole to the rope and ball. Just assemble and stake it into the ground. I would say this set it not very heavy duty. It may not hold up for extremely competitive games, however my kids love to play for fun. Its so easy to set up and use you really can't go wrong. I wish something like this existed when I was in grade school. This would have been perfect to play with in the back yard. I'm very happy with this tether ball set.

The media could not be loaded. Easy twist together bars. The poles are hollow metal but strong; they don't flex. This was so big I had to remove two poles to make it shorter. You'll have to tie your own knot at the top with the rope attached to the ball if you do this. It can hang full length if you use all the poles and it goes all the way to the base of it. The rope has a good thickness to it and won't snap in half. So it came with a bunch of connectors to fit each pole into one another. There was no way that I could use them. They were so very hard to slide the pole into that I just left them off and didn't use them at all. Couldn't use all the hardware properly and because of this I don't think that the pole is as sturdy as it can be. I mean it's strong but it sways quite a bit when the ball get's played with. I malleted the ground hooks into the dirt so I wouldn't damage it. The ball feels like cement when it's hit. I told my kids not to hit the ball or use fists in any way. I instructed them to catch the ball and throw it back and forth. My pinkie finger and hand hurt for 3 days after I fisted the ball the first time. This defeats the purpose of the game so we can't play it the right way. A new ball is a must to replace the one it came with.

Easy to assemble. Easy to take apart. It comes in sections of about 10 - 1 foot piece. It has a coupling for each connection. The air pump is good, the ball is good. You get the whole set up. It is easy to sink the spikes in the ground. All of that is fine. But, the pole itself is so flimsy , it didn't last at all, it started bending and eventually it broke at the base. Giving two stars because I liked the ball and the air pump.

When I got this compact box I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. It feels high quality. When you put in all the links in the pile it is definitely a bit wavy/wobbly, but this doesn't really affect play (I know in the picture I hadn't installed it fully into the ground yet, that was temporary). I just don't think you can make it as stable as 1 solid poll installed concrete, so temper your expectations. This does the job. The ball feels heavy duty and durable and there is plenty of rope - so much so you will probably want to cut it. The pump is compact but works great. I hate when you get useless pumps with stuff like this. I like that you can just take out a link to adjust height. It only took a few minutes to set up. This is a fun addition to the yard for some casual play.
