I recently picked up this cable‑knit crewneck for my daughter and overall I’m very happy with it. The cable design gives it a nice textured look that elevates it from a basic sweater, and she’s already reached for it a few times instead of her other tops. Fit is true to size and the straight/easy cut “hits at the hip” as described, so she’s comfortable moving around in it. Now that we're getting into colder months, my daughter is looking for items to layer for school, with lots of sweatshirts and sweaters. This cable crewneck sweater has been a great addition to her outerwear drawer! The color is an adorable periwinkle, and the cable knit pattern is well done and adds lots of style to an otherwise ordinary sweater. Sizing was spot on, and she says it's comfortable to wear all day. I love that it's machine wash and wear too! A hit for both of us.

This is a good, high-quality basic. The Cosmic Sky Purple color is a nice light purple—it’s soft and pretty, not overwhelming at all. The cable knit gives it a classic texture. This GAP cable crewneck sweater is well made — the knit feels soft, comfortable, and has a nice medium weight that pairs well with jeans, leggings, or skirts. The Ivory Frost color is classic and versatile, perfect for mixing and matching with different outfits. The only downside is the fit. We ordered the XL for our 10-year-old (who usually wears a 10–12) expecting a little room to grow, but the torso length is shorter than anticipated. The shoulders, sleeves, and width fit as we expect, but the overall length is just right for her now — meaning it may run a bit short as she grows. It might be a modern, cropped style, but for those who prefer a bit more coverage, keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s a lovely, well-made sweater that looks and feels great!

When you purchase a GAP sweater, you expect a certain amount of quality and this sweater does not disappoint. It is true to size- not too baggy or tight. The knitting is tight and it doesn't fall apart when you wash it. It isn't itchy so sensory sensitive kids can handle it. It is warm, so it will be great in the winter. It's not so thick that it won't fit under a jacket, so that is a plus. The white is a a very light ivory, so unless you put it next to pure white you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The back does not have patterns on it, just the front.

The material feels nice and thick for winter, soft and comfortable to wear. However, the sweater is shorter than I expected. The sleeves fit well, but the length makes it hard to keep warm or pair with outfits if you don’t want your stomach showing. Overall, good quality but not my favorite style.

This is a pretty classic cable knit sweater. My daughter has only worn it once so far but said it was comfortable. It looks nice and she likes the color. The stitching and general material quality is in line with all of the rest of the GAP clothing that we have. The sizing guidance is accurate based on measurements though age didn't make sense. We went a little larger than usual based on arm length and it fits her well. I'm sure it will be nice to keep her warm this fall.
