EDITED: ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I am halfway through my sewing project, and these pieces of "fabric" are just completely falling apart. This stuff is in no way fabric. It is just giant strips of "sateen" ribbon. If you DO choose to buy this, you need to invest in the biggest, giant bottle of Fray-Lock that you can possibly get your hands on. For the first 2 days or so, the fraying was super minimal, and I thought I had a chance getting through the project with it. by day 3, I can't even pick it up without strings upon strings flying off of it. Seriously, if there was a way to just throw everything into a bag and return it, I would definitely take that route. Since it is not, I am stuck using the Fray-Lock on 3 packages worth of this crap. I would give 0 stars if I could. Definitely NOT cotton....simply put, the material is a synthetic blend of some kind. The edges absolutely fray, so be prepared to use some type of serging stitch to lock the edges in. The patterns are also not accurate. There are 20 different example pics, however I only received 11 patterns, and one of them isnt even pictured. The counts of each pattern are also skewed. I purchased 2 "rolls", 6 patterns had 16 strips, 4 patterns had 18 strips, and one pattern had 32 strips. Yes I made sure that it was the same pattern on the same background color. The strips are only 19.25", not the 20.8" that is advertised, and the width of each strip is consistent at 2.5" (thankfully). I am planning on making a quilt, however I am concerned as to how it will hold up to washing. There is a very good chance that there may be shrinkage using the dryer, so use with caution.

Two stars down since the material is a polyester ribbon. I'm making jelly roll rugs with it. The finished project should warrant a handwash only after completion due to high fray risk. Also a two star for the print itself. Some are just not pretty. The material itself is easy to sew as it is a very thin ribbon. The fraying is the issue. My machine collected alot of lint, so much that I cleaned it twice per bobbin changes. The material also catches terribly on your presser foot, especially if you are using a seam guide or any other foot with that has the ability to catch onto fabrics. Whenever I got up top take a break, my entire t-shirt was covered with lint, not threads but lint. I had the strips in my lap matching the others up on my table and it caused major fraying. Not enough that you cannot use the material but enough of the ends to make a mess. The reason for 3 stars is due to sewing a rug before using this material. It does work and it is easy to sew. I would strongly suggest buying a thick batting for rugs since the normal batting is just too thin upon completion with this material. It is soft to the touch and your feet, that is a plus. Just remember to handwash it as a machine might be too harsh. I don't expect it to shrink but I do expect it to be on the fragile side if not careful. If you need to iron this, use a very low iron setting. Do not use the cotton setting but a very low setting. The Christmas print is not a nice as you would think. The blues are dark blue but there are a few strips that look like a cross between blue and green. It's just an odd look. The jelly roll isn't a balanced color configuration. Too many colors being crammed together. You move from white, cream, light green, dark green, blues, burgundy, to whatever. It's a tad bit weird to coordinate. What is good, you do get 100 strips to figure it all out. I'm doing 40 strips with a 20 strip overage to make something small. Overall, the rugs using this material is decent but don't expect a cotton rug. This is a polyester rug that needs to be handled with care. I will use this again but I'll keep in mind, no project is the same durability wise. 3 stars for usability, machine handling 2 stars for ribbon fabric, fraying, lack of consistency on print quality and repeatedly cleaning machine.

Not at all what I ha expected. It wasn't until I already checked out that I saw the length of the strips was 20"...ugh, when you have to sew them all together again. It is NOT your standard JellyRoll. I was expecting cotton fabric because of the suggested projects and I wanted this to make a Jellyroll rug for beside my bed. I don't want it to turn out to be a trip hazard and slide out from under me during the night. I like the prints and color, but am not sure this fabric is appropriate for a rug. I will see how it turns out. It is some sort of synthetic and leaves lint all over my work area. Update: This fabric does not respond the same as cotton when making a rug, but it is doable. I do like the soft feel of the fabric. Update: I am not really satisfied with the way this rug came out because of the fabric. When making the tubing it was not as uniform as my others made from cotton. My suggestion is to NOT use this for making a rug.
