Once upon a time, the back of the phone popped off, and it was easy to swap and/or replace the battery. Now you need the assistance of special tools and a heat gun to get the job done. And this kit, in addition to the battery, provides all the tools, but no heat gun. The Samsung Galaxy A54 is notorious for overheating and causing battery swelling because of the processor used in the phone, so this kit is a more reasonable response to replacing the battery. This Galaxy S8 Plus battery replacement kit comes with everything you need to get the job done—except instructions. That’s not a flaw, though; there are plenty of detailed YouTube videos available that walk you through the process. I went into the repair as a novice and unfortunately cracked the back glass of my S8+, but that's on me—not the product. Just a heads-up for first-timers: patience and the right technique are key. The battery arrived at about 60% charge, which is ideal—neither overcharged nor fully depleted, helping preserve battery health. I let it run down to 1% and then did a full recharge. Since then, the battery has performed impressively. It’s a huge improvement over my aged OEM battery. I now get several hours of gameplay (heavy usage) on a single charge, where before the phone would die even while idle after just a few hours. It may not be identical to OEM capacity, but the difference is night and day—and for an older device like the S8+, that's exactly what you want: a battery that still has real stamina. First, I will say that if you are not tech-savvy with cell phones or have any doubt about this work, take it to a professional to have it installed (remember, the back of the phone is made of glass). Now that that's out of the way, I can say that this kit comes with everything you will need to replace the battery on your Samsung S23 Plus; the only thing you will need is a heat gun or a hair dryer. It took me about 45 minutes to change the battery because I was being super careful prying the glass back off the phone. After taking the back off, the installation was super easy. I was noticing that I was getting less battery life, but now it is back to how it was when it was new (no more, no less). The battery fits perfectly in the slot and charges just as fast as the old one. The phone functions just as before, which is awesome. I say this is a great value for the money! ... show more

PROS: Includes everything you need to change the battery. Seriously, it is an honest to goodness complete kit. Even if you don't know how to do it yourself, it's a great day to learn. Watch a video on youtube and get 'er done! CONS: None yet. Everything seems to match OEM. Summary: Cell phone repairs aren't for everyone. If you are allergic to working on electronics, make sure you have the right model phone for this battery and just have a pro install it. I have had this phone for years and it was still going strong except the battery. Now it should last for many more. Think green and keep your phones out of the junk yard. Besides it's way cheaper to change the battery than to buy a new phone every 2-3 yrs. ... show more
