This is a 2 part review for a product that essentially has 2 main functions... The PRIMARY function is a phone case. Different people need different things from their case. I personally require protection... I've cracked 3 screens just this year, so reliability is important for me. The appearance of the case is nice. It's styled for a clean professional look. There is not stitching, but the leather portion is perforated to give a nice textured feel. The issue comes by way of the case integrity. It's thin look comes at a cost. The case does not cover ANY of the front of the device... A flat fall will leave your heart shattered, along with your $930 phone. The back is well covered, and the camera has protection, just be careful, as it does not look like it can withstand more than 2-3 drops. The SECONDARY function of this device is the wallet card holding feature, Which is what attracted me to it, as I would be able to eliminate an item taking up valuable pocket space. This part of the case performed well as the description reads 2 cards, but I was able to squeeze 3 stamped cards and my ID (4 cards total) for a nice snug fit that pulls in and out comfortably. Now clearly, this adds bulk to the back of the phone, but I still found it to slide in and out of my pocket freely. Overall, I'd say grab it, espeally if you're looking to stop sitting on that bulge, or you're sick of digging around for that debit card... Think about it... Excellent fit, although the sides could be a bit higher . As it is, I am worried they don't offer much drop protection to the curved edges of the Note 8's display. The sides are actually so low that I feel like I have less surface area to grab than I would if I used the phone without a case - however, the case material is "tacky" enough that the phone will not accidentally slip from my hand during normal use. The leather on the back side of the phone feels really nice - I actually wish it wrapped around to the sides, as that would make for a very comfortable, non-slip grip on the phone. The card holder slot works perfectly (I use it to hold a Nite Ize QuikStand Mount - Retail Packaging ). All in all, this is a good case for the price. ... show more

Excuse the screenprotector, I placed it first by mistake. The photos are from: Back (no card), Back (1 and 2 cards respectively), Bottom (and you can easily tell how much it "separates" the screen from the surface you place your phone, use the screen protector as reference) Top (sensors and stuff) Port cover (specially S-Pen) What I don't like it's, the power button becomes hard to press sometimes and that it's designed to hold just 2 cards without deformation. I like how the case was implement smart idea on the card holder very slim and easy access the major thing that it fell was about the protection. I am not sure if it's only my case but upon receiving the case there is a signs of wear on the side not sure if I got a repack return item but I don't it will change much even a replacement. The main thing about me giving this 2 star is my phone fell down the hardwood and the phone pop out of the case, I mean literally came of the case I can't imagine if my phone fell down on a concrete I would be devastated. Poetic need to rework how the case should be tight fit with combination of slimness and the card. ... show more

The reason I went for this was I liked the style of it, and I wanted something to hold my public transport card for my commute. Case feels nice and worked well and I was pretty happy with it for the first few weeks. Like other reviews have said, I wouldn't recommend keeping any important cards in here. I got to the office one day and noticed that my bus card was gone. The card holder slot had loosened up just enough that the card wasn't snug in there and it had fallen out. I guess if you always have it stuffed with cards so that they're pretty snug in there it wouldn't be an issue. ... show more

The tab is really cumbersum. It easily gets pushed down into the holder. And once that happens its almost impossible to get my cards off without taking the case off my phone. It's also already falling apart and I haven't had it for a month. I love poetic cases but this one was a let down.
