Had been using a retinol product for about 4 months. Worked well, but I was concerned about sun sensitivity. I had read about bakuchiol oil and looked for products online. This one by Gaia has the fewest ingredients and a very light Damascus rose scent that fades quickly. I have been using it for about 4 weeks and the results are Fabulous! Better than retinol ever thought of being. My skin tone has evened out (had lots of brown sun spots that are fading). Has improved my skin texture on face, neck and chest. I'm especially impressed with what it has done for my sagging neck skin - almost all of the sagging is gone (I'm 71 years old). I use 4 drops on face, neck and chest every night, with coconut oil after. Daytime I use just 2 drops with a sunscreen moisturizer over it; 4 drops are too many for day wear and my makeup doesn't stay on very well. I cannot say enough good things about this product! I love this product but the scented version was too much for me. I didn’t know they had unscented and was happy when I realized I could get it unscented. This is the natural version of Retin A. I’m very particular about using only natural ingredients on my body. I am an esthetician and rate this product as very effective for improving the texture and youthfulness of the skin. I know many don’t recommend using vitamin c serum with the chemical version of Retin A, but it doesn’t cause any irritation with this natural form for me. I use it under the Bakuchiol oil and it’s very effective night and day. I don’t use anything else except for a couple of drops of natural castor oil. But castor oil in a glass bottle, hexane free and organic is awesome. I think you will love it! ... show more

I’m 32 and starting to focus more on my skincare routine. I want to keep it simple and not use a million products on my face. This Gaia Bakuchiol oil has been a blessing to say the least. If self care is something you enjoy, this is the perfect treat. I have been using it twice daily for nearly 3 weeks. The package recommends using 4 drops in the morning and 4 drops in the evening (it comes in a dark glass bottle with a topper that suspends the oil in droplets), but I use much more as I don’t mind oil based face products. It is so smooth when I apply it, just spreading it on my skin feels like a massage. During the application process, I become aware of the sweet aroma of roses. The oil keeps my face looking “tight/wrinkle-less” and I honestly look 10 years younger. I’ve had Botox in the past and this oil has given me similar results in terms of “tightness” in my face. It doesn’t feel like the oil tightens the skin but the appearance of the skin is smooth, as if it were tightened. The oil itself feels very soft. Once I finish this bottle, I’m buying it again.     • Very light oil, nice botanical natural scent, and it's fading my sunspots!
I've been using this for almost a year now, and I'm very satisfied with it. The blend includes all the good-for-skin essential oils and it's a very lightweight blend that goes on easily and absorbs well. I buy the unscented, which has a very faint natural botanical fragrance from the oils themselves. I use 3 drops at night on face and sometimes my throat, and 2 in the morning or before putting on makeup. At almost 70, I have plenty of sunspots. I didn't take a 'before' photo of my face, but after a few months' use during which I hadn't been paying close attention, one day I noticed the 2 most prominent ones had faded by over 50% in size and in darkness. I'm on a lot of Zoom meetings, and those particular 2 spots were the most obvious on the camera, to the point I had started using concealer on them before going on camera. One day I started Zoom and realized I could barely see them! TBH I hadn't expected it would work that well. I don't use any retinol or other skin lightening products and most days I don't wear makeup or sunscreen, so it's all due to the Gaia oil. My husband noticed the difference as well. I've also been getting compliments on my skin since using the oil. I order the smaller size so that I use it up before the oil might start to degrade. The maker has taken best-practice measures for the product, putting it in a very dark brown glass bottle to decrease light exposure, and for more protection I keep it in the box as well. I'm usually skeptical of natural products being able to make that much of a difference in things like freckles or sunspots, so I'm glad I tried Gaia Bakuchiol oil. I have acne prone and oily skin and this product did not break me out. Although it can be a bit shiny at times so I prefer to use it mostly at night, it does leave your skin hydrated and soft. New skin care product to my regimen. I use expensive products. Recently, learned about this product. It’s too soon to rate it since I’ve only used it 2 days. I use it under another facial product that I’ve used for years. Thus far, I have had no adverse reactions and my skin feels better already. For that reason, I’ll give it 5 stars. If I purchase another bottle, I’ll write a follow up review, because I’ll have more to share as far as if it helps with eye wrinkles or anything. ... show more

It smells heavenly. Worth it just for the smell, however, it’s moisturizing my skin quite well and I love that it has clean ingredients and no corn derivatives. Since it’s an oil, it’s oily when you first put it on, but my skin soaks it in with-in about 15-20 minutes and it’s no longer oily. To avoid this you can put some of your moisturizer on the back of your hand and mix in a couple drops of this… then put the mixture on your face. I’ve not had it long enough to know how good it is with wrinkles and dark spots. ... show more
