It sticks and stays put but is easy to remove and doesn't leave residue. Tears very well off the roll. Works on hard surfaces and carpet. Looks great. This stuff is top quality/professional. I've tried other gaffer tapes but nothing beats this one.

I wish I could write a clickbait article about this tape lol. It's absurdly expensive, but it's also very very cool. - It's not very sticky, but sticky enough. - But it turns out you really don't need too much sticky most of the time -- for example, rope isn't sticky but it binds very nice.. A lot of times tape works just like rope, and you need only just enough sticky. Basically, it works great as "rope". - Used as in the above "binding" rope way, it's at once very permanent AND very easy to remove (because it's not sticky). Imagine that! - It's rips easier than hockey tape. It is the easiest ripping tape I have ever encountered. - CON: The vertical rip is just slightly off vertical, enough to be frustrating. - It's still better to cut it with scissors if you don't want the frayed edges showing and want the tape to blend in with itself. - It is also one of the easiest cutting tapes I have every used. Basically -- it turns out that, for a lot of tasks, we don't need the stickiest, toughest tape. We really just need tape that is "sticky enough", and that looks clean. This tape -- with the unfortunate caveat that the vertical rips are slightly off-vertical -- does just that.

Let me start off by saying I'm not a Gaffer. Heck, I'm not even sure what a Gaffer does, aside from tape stuff to other stuff. I'm quite sure this would work great for that. I bought this because my new kitten has learned that flipping a specific light switch gets me all upset because my computer is plugged into the plug controlled by said light switch. Kitten loves doing anything he can to drive me crazy. Kitten loves doing anything he can to drive my dog crazy too. I tried a temporary fix using electrical tape to block his ability to flip the switch. All that did was mark up my wall, look ugly. Kitten laughed at the new challenge and continued shutting off my computer. I fired up Amazon when he was sleeping, because a sleeping kitten cannot turn off my computer. I searched duct tape, didn't like any options and came across this REAL Gaffer tape. It was the right color, the right width so I figured I'd give it a shot. Now my lightswitch doesn't have ugly black tape on it, in fact you almost don't notice it on there because it matches so well. It's very high quality and I wouldn't hesitate to try it if I was a Gaffer (whatever it is you folks do). The kitten hasn't been able to turn off my computer so the world is a happier place. He still terrorizes my dog though. I wonder if I can tape Kitten to something to give the dog and I some peace?

I've never used real gaffer's tape before, but we had a school event and I needed to secure some extension cords to the ground where there was going to be heavy foot traffic. I purchased this hoping it would be better than using duck tape. I was not disappointed. It covered the cords perfectly and adhered to the dirty concrete and asphalt I needed it too. It survived all the families walking over it without lifting up or causing any trips. At the end of the event, the tape peeled right off of the extension cords without leaving any sticky residue. Very happy with this purchase, the tape did exactly what I needed it to.

I have ordered this gaff tape many times over for our company events. It is a better price than other top brands and works just as well. We tried a cheaper tape we found on Amazon one other time and regretted it! Don't skimp on your gaff tape - lesson learned - that cheap roll got thrown out. The cheaper stuff is tough to get off the roll and it stuck to itself more than to anything else! But not this roll. This roll sticks perfectly, is easy to tear off where needed and easy to pull up when done. Be careful when you remove it - if you aren't experienced at pulling it up, you'll have a mess wrapped around your cables! But that goes for any GOOD gaff tape. Also if you are going back and forth between 2" and 3" just spend the extra $$ to get the 3" - otherwise you'll find yourself double taping certain areas and wasting tape. I highly recommend this tape and I've been in the production business for over 30 years!
