A great reference book for the serious student of decorating/design, or teachers who want to have a great resource withh lots of wonderful photos. However it is not for the reader who wants an easy text to read...this is more academic. I use it for classroom illustrations - as the photos are superb. Often I just open this book and just browse through different eras of furniture. A brilliant book with enourmous amount of picturesand ideas. I recommend it 100%. If you are into furniture design history or a practicing woodworker regardless of your skills - you are in dire need of this book. You just don't know it yet) ... show more
