I have a set of IKEA outdoor table and chairs that was so weathered after 7 years. I had never done anything to maintain except for wiping it down before sitting since I didn't know better. I recently learned about teak oil to restore and maintain wood furniture and decided to give it a try and bought this one. To my surprise it's actually very easy to apply even though I am not handy at all, and it doesn't have too strong smell. The set now looks so much better. Gaining a little confidence, I proceeded with working on another set of table and chairs that's starting to show a bit age. It also came out well. With even more confidence I proceeded with working on a brand new table that look just a little dull. I'm pleased with the result. I cleaned the furniture with brush and cloth, then used a clean cloth to apply two coats (waited about 30 minutes in between) on my porch in about 80℉ weather, then wait about 15 minutes and wiped with clean dry cloth, and wiped again in about 3 hours. I still have about 1/3 bottle left. All of them look so much better now and not sticky at all. These are the pictures of the stages of restoring this old table. It's almost 50 years old and had not received the proper care (I'm 47 and was given it by my mom in my 20's). The first 2 were before the cleaning(using this brand of cleaning solution) and application, then the cleaned table and first coat of oil, the last is the final look after a second coat. For the smell, I choose a nice warm day to dry the 2nd application, as the scent was a bit too strong to dry inside. Not offensive, just my scent is sensitive. ... show more

The first picture is my shower seat after 1 year with 3 coats of teak oil applied. It still looks new after many showers for me and my wife. I am now applying 3 coats after 1 year per instructions. Very happy, buy it !!!

Bought a teak stool at a garage sale that was nearly white. I applied 3 coats as instructed. No strong scent, easy to apply, no mess, and the stool now looks brand new. I can’t rate for waterproof as I haven’t used it in water yet, but it looks and feels sealed very nicely. It’s beautiful and the $10 stool looks like $100 bucks. ... show more

I used this to oil the teak on my boat. It work as good as the stuff sold in the Marine store and is substantially less expensive. One nice feature is the bottle has a squeeze type cap on it so you can dribble the oil on and wipe off.

When I had my boat, I used to order a teak oil product from a little old guy in Miami. It was outstanding unfortunately he went out of business. After that I ordered from Amazon another Teak oil I think it was called Teak bright I was never happy with it.
