I was looking for a inexpensive shelf to just go in my closet and hold my odds and ends until my dressers were delivered. This shelving unit was easy to assemble. Probably took me no longer than 5 minutes. The plastic tubes that you have to screw in to the others don’t screw in very tightly. But I kinda expected that since they were plastic. Once I had it put together I slid it across my carpet maybe a few inches with no weight on it and one of the legs popped off. I was able to screw it back on but I couldn’t tighten it like I could before. I ended up picking it up and placing it were I wanted to. For the price I paid it wasn’t a terrible shelf. Also, as I took the shelves out of the box I saw a small piece chipped out of the wood. I ended up putting that part of the shelf in the back so it couldn’t be seen or so I wouldn’t cut myself or make it bigger. It wasn’t worth packaging it all back together and getting a new one shipped to me. ... show more

It looks great, but immediately the black sticker paper that's the finish started peeling off. It also got a little wet and the pressboard wood under the black sticker paper swelled up, and now the top is lumpy and not smooth.

It's a piece of s#!t when assembling, and then trying to get it into place. The feet kept falling off. But, once I got it all the way into my closet to use as a shoe rack, it's now doing its job just fine. I don't need it to do much more than sit there in the back of my closet and hold shoes, and not look like a piece of s#!t. It has really helped me to organize that space and I'm actually very happy with it so far regarding the very simple task I've asked it to complete. If you want it for anything more, though, I say not... And it's 100% NOT gonna do your taxes for you or anything. So lower your expectations on this one, y'all. ... show more

For the price, these shelves can't be beat. I needed a very short shelving unit for my home office to fit under a window, and this works. No tools required for assembly, which was refreshing. I wouldn't put this in a prominent place because it doesn't look very elegant up close,but it's fine as storage furniture. It even fits my fabric storage cubes. My only complaint is the lack of colors. I would have liked a brown option or a lighter looking wood tone. Very happy with this purchase though. ... show more

It really is a bunch of plastic tubes screwed into each other for the support legs. The particle board has a veneer type sticker that I am unsure how well it will last. You can’t screw them into tightly or you will strip the threads but if you don’t screw them in tightly the table will wobble when you put anything on it. By anything I do mean flinging your wallet on it as you come in the front door. If you were placing this in a corner or having it but up against something else that is sturdy and you won’t be putting or taking off things from the shelves often it might be OK. But the particleboard feels like it will absorb humidity out of the air and slowly get softer and sag. Not keen on the value at all. ... show more

Narrow enough to fit in a space I needed it too. I can see this being a great starter piece for someone or just to have the extra shelves.
