Furinno Pasir Series Storage and Organization cabinet bookcase feature simplicity and easy blend in with any home decor. This series are made of 12mm medium density composite wood made from recycled materials of rubber trees. All the materials are manufactured in Malaysia and comply with the green rules of production. There is no foul smell, durable and the material is the most stable amongst the medium density composite woods. A simple attitude towards lifestyle is reflected directly on the design of Furinno Furniture, creating a trend of simply nature. All the products are produced and assembled 100 percent in Malaysia with 95% - 100% recycled materials. Care instructions: wipe clean with clean damped cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. For the price, I don't know what I was expecting. The build quality seems very basic, very bare minimum shelf with just a design layer to appear of a different type of wood. The assembly was not pleasant, trying to align three dimensions at once. The screw holes are pre-drilled and screws and nails are provided so that's a plus, for both the shelves themselves and the back cover. You will need a power drill and hammer for assembling this shelf. For the price, I would have preferred to buy a metal shelf that is short and wide or slimmer and taller instead, but it's better to have the option on the market than not to. I would have given it 2 stars but they included a tool that I ignored at first until I hit my finger hammering the nails. That's when it clicked that the tool must have had some sort of use for that, seeing its triangular shape. This is the kind of modern technology and ease of use facilities I expect from products nowadays, in this ever-growing competitive market. I did not elect 4 stars because I would not buy this product again, I've owned better products and alternatives, I wouldn't recommend this shelf to anyone I know. It is not a bad shelf, just not my cup of tea. Disassembling the shelf when moving will also prove to be a tedious task. Finally, the base of the shelf could have been slightly wider for me, at least for the top and bottom, or some sort of stand or aligning base, not by the length but the width Z axis. I couldn't drill everything to be perfectly aligned, as one thing or another kept moving when trying to hold 2 parts, a screw, and a drill all at once, I do recommend a second person if you do end up buying this anyway. I will likely still keep the shelf but leave it behind when I move, as repacking and returning it may be more tedious than just keeping it and using it lightly for some storage and basic items around the house. ... show more

The worst bookcase I ever bought (and Furinno's customer service is equally bad: they will do everything in order NOT to replace defective parts). Luckily, Amazon has a wonderful customer service and they are willing to accept the return. Thank you, Amazon! I've bought 3 shelves (2 and 1 separately). In three cases pre-drilled holes are too big to hold screws and there is no other way to assemble this bookcase or tighten screws up. A potential buyer should pay attention to those one-star reviews, because they are true: I have experienced EVERY issue described there! - NOT STURDY! The shelves are too thin to hold even 10 books (forget about 20 pounds!), they bent right away! Maybe they can be used for some lighter things, like toys or boxes. There are no pads, or legs, or anything to align a shelf if your floor is slightly uneven. - NOT SCRACH-RESISTANT! The laminate is only on one side (and it already started to peel off during the assembly). The other side is initially rough and unfinished. - UGLY! The screws are visible on both sides, there is no way to hide them. - NOT EASY TO ASSEMBLE! It requires two people at the beginning: to hold the side (A) and the shelf (B) at the same time (they even mentioned it in the manual). But if the holes are not perfectly aligned or too big, you are doomed. - The base of one bookcase totally broke withing the first two days of usage (see the pictures). Lessons learned! This product is cheap for a reason: it was designed and made this way. I plan to buy something decent, durable and better looking (and - yes, more expensive!) from any other seller. As my Mom used to say: I'm not that reach to buy a cheap product! ... show more
