Furinno Pasir Series Storage and Organization cabinet bookcase feature simplicity and easy blend in with any home decor. This series are made of 12mm medium density composite wood made from recycled materials of rubber trees. All the materials are manufactured in Malaysia and comply with the green rules of production. There is no foul smell, durable and the material is the most stable amongst the medium density composite woods. A simple attitude towards lifestyle is reflected directly on the design of Furinno Furniture, creating a trend of simply nature. All the products are produced and assembled 100 percent in Malaysia with 95% - 100% recycled materials. Care instructions: wipe clean with clean damped cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Overall, this bookcase was easy to build. Price was decent for the size I needed, and it’s a very pretty color. I need to remove one star though, due to the back of the bookshelf being so poorly designed. It comes with 3 (taped) slabs that you’re required to nail into the back of the bookcase frame. Instructions require a mallet to hammer the nails through the board. If it was true solid wood, I wouldn’t mind doing so but the material isn’t solid wood. It’s quite fragile overall, and I’m very worried it’ll split or cause damage. It does not have holes, so you’re required to hammer through the material in hopes of aligning it correctly or making it cleanly through. I’ve decided to keep the back off, which is okay for me because I have a large open back bookcase on the other wall. It’s just a weird design and definitely needs to be fixed. ... show more

Very affordable and easily to put together. I didn't mind that the back of it was basically cardboard. There's no way you can tell at all. It's cheap, so this is to be expected. I wouldn't recommend getting it wet or anything. I have had this for months now and it's still holding up great. Holds a lot of books and textbooks. No bowing of the shelves due to heavier books. Would recommend if you are looking for a cheap bookshelf. If you have expectations that this will be solid oak wood or something, you're in the wrong price range for that. If you understand that this costs $25-35 and has materials that are cheap, you should be happy with it. I think it'll last for a couple of years. If it starts to come apart, I'll just reinforce it with wood glue. Definitely worth it. ... show more

The exact thickness of these particle boards are what I've seen on much smaller shelves, it has no business being in a shelve of this size. If only they used thicker boards and a slightly better design, these shelves could be way sturdier if they didn't underbuild everything. For the price you'd hope it'd be built a little nicer, rather than the cheap junk it is; but it looks decent from the finished sides. Hopefully it holds up okay for a while. I'm not expecting to be thrilled by the little weight it can carry. The only reason I bought this is because I had literally no other option in this form factor, short of trying to build a worse looking but sturdier plywood shelf myself. I would not put anything heavy on these shelves, especially if it is not anchored into the wall. The area where I keep all my pet supplies was badly in need of some organization. I wanted something small that didn't take up a ton of space. This met my needs and was easy to assemble by myself. I've seen reviews from others talking about the cheap materials and lack of sturdiness. For $50, I wasn't exactly expecting the highest quality. So I’m not gonna lie, I swear this said it was 10inch cubes but I probably was on a different item so my fault when I double checked after putting it together, their measurements are right! I just posted a pic of the 10.5in cubes o ordered which are far too big just so you can see the difference in size since others pictures make them look much bigger than they are. I've been looking for a bookshelf to put my small book and manga collection in, the only problem was that my room has floor carpeting and I was afraid that if I bought a bookshelf it would fall over. I ended up buying this looking at the reviews, it was fairly simple to assemble I did it on my own but the instructions say two people are recommended. While it is a bit wobbly, probably due to the carpet, it still stands up straight and the boards don't bend but this might depend on how much weight you put on there. The instructions recommend you don't got over 15 lbs per board but I'm not sure how accurate this is. Overall, I think this works perfectly and if you have a small book collection this is a good shelf for the price you pay for. ... show more

Its just a plain bookshelf. Doesn’t need to be more complicated than that. However for my Berserk hardcover editions I needed to make one of the shelves slightly higher; pictures included.
