I bought a whole bunch of Furinno shelves of various sizes as part of a major closet overhaul at the house. The shelves arrived quickly and these 7 box units were the largest of the items I ordered. All of them are very efficiently packaged with clear instructions on assembly. I was able to put them together easily by myself. However I HIGHLY recommend having an electric screwdriver or cordless drill as your wrists will give out if you do this with a regular screwdriver. There are probably 26 screws on this one unit alone that take some work, and if you have multiple shelves you'll need to take a lot of breaks. Having said that the only caution with electric is to make sure the screw is straight. I slightly damaged one shelf when I wasn't paying attention and let a screw pop-out on the surface. No big deal though. The 7 box differs from the smaller shelves (5 box and smaller) in that it makes use of wooden dowels to help align and secure the parts. These add work but actually make assembly easier as the dowels line all the screw holes up cleanly and help "hold" the parts while putting in the screws. I didn't need to put the backs on the shelves as they were going up in closets. The 7 box units also have more finishing on the shelf edges as the smaller box units have clear "backs" that aren't painted where the backing is typically nailed in. Not putting in the backs probably saved me 5 min assembly time. The units look great once I put them up and have so far proven sturdy. Have to really call out the precision that all the holes are drilled and that so far no missing parts. Excellent overall quality and highly recommended. ... show more

When I say "great of the money," keep in mind that this shelf doesn't cost very much. But I'm definitely happy with the purchase. I bought 2 of these to bookend a similar cabinet (made by a different company several years ago, but apparently that black laminate is universal becasue they are a perfect match) for about 45 bucks each. Bottom line: They look good, just like in the picture. Laminated particle board. But if you step back, they look like something that costs more. I don't think it will stand up to any dings on the finish, but, if you don't move it very much, it's good. They will hold the weight of all the books you can fit in them. Assembly - 10-20 minutes. Not hard, but the locking nuts that anchor the top to the bottom didn't work as they should. So both of mine are less sturdy than they should be. But you can't tell any of that by looking at them. ... show more

The shelves are 8.24" deep. We're going to use this mainly for a bookshelf for our 3.5 year olds growing collection of books. Most of her books will be hanging off the shelf which isn't a deal breaker, but would have been nice for the price if we were given more depth to the shelves. It was easy to assemble but the Styrofoam was covering everything. I recommend wiping the pieces off with a microfiber cloth as you go, not once it's assembled. As pictured, some of the pieces have the pink chipping off already out of the package which was disappointing but will probably be fine. Also looked like some of the pink was scratched off on one of the pieces. But this is for a child and I'm sure she'll scratch it up either way. I intentionally left out a shelf because I don't feel like we'll need so many tiny shelves. I definitely think one of the smaller models would have been too small, I'm glad I went with the 11 shelf model. The exposed screws aren't cute but the pink stickers are kinda weird. I kinda wish the screws were pink or maybe a different way to cover the screws than a sticker. Only other thing is it came with these L brackets and no screw holes to screw them into the back so I'm leaving those out. ... show more

I have two of these, that's how much I like it. It's just the right size for some collections and it's easy to find a place to house them. I have my Young Adult collection in one and my creativity/writing aides in the other. Many of the books in these cases are paperbacks. They are not as sturdy as many of my cases. It has the new kind of backs--no more nailing flimsy backs onto boxes. There are slotting boards that fit between shelves.And you build two haves and then secure them together. I have a larger version like this and it's much sturdier than these. But they work for what I need. Just be aware. ... show more

I have so many purses I used to keep them in bins or smaller ones inside larger ones. I would never rotate through them because it was too difficult to get them out and find them. When we moved into a house wit a large closet, I thought having some shelves for my purses would be a great idea!! I love the way these turned out! The only issue is it doesn't hold my very large purses well (I had to put them on top) and my loungefly backpacks JUST fit! But all in all I love them! The photo I have two of them up. ... show more

Unit was pretty easy to assemble and seems to be pretty sturdy! Storage Bins: I was able to find storage bins that fit the square cubbies so don’t worry! You can find them! 9 x 9 x 8 inch bins will fit perfectly in this square cubbies and I just ran to the dollar tree to grab those! Con: the only thing I’m not liking about these units is the fact the they give you white circle stickers to cover the screws 🙄 come on! We could of added some screw covers with this unit 🙄 ... show more

I bought it for my albums because I had no where to put them. This little mini book shelf thing is perfect! It fits perfectly on my dresser😜 this was my first time building something so of course I messed up. I messed up on the back thing. The brown part was supposed to be flipped so I had to paint it white a bit.
