Ok so far this is probably the best put together shelf ive had its very sturdy and the wood is pretty thick. Ok so the instructions are a little difficult and there looks like theres extra nails an stuff that were really not needed. I just put it together just based on memery how i put together other book cases. You deffinatly need a handful of small thin nails to hammer in the top an back. They give you these thick black plastic nails an premade holes in the wood but they kept falling out so you def need extra nails. The thin back peice of cardboard that goes on the back of the shelf does not match up with the holes. Thats the part where i used my own nails. Basicly putting it together was quick like half an hour or so and hammering my own nails to put it together lets just say i made it work.

The assembly instructions list only one piece "C" to go on the back and only one piece was included in the package. The figure and the picture on Amazon show the back totally covered. So one piece only covers 1/3 of the back. Three pieces "C" should have been included to entirely cover the back. Otherwise the shelf appears adequate. After thinking about the shelves, I removed the back. It was actually 3 separate pieces taped together like an accordion. You should be able to unfold it and install it. The instructions failed to note this fact. I had cut the tape but I eventually renailed the back and loaded all my books into it. It looks nice.

This is the 2nd time I ordered this! The first one went together easy except it lacked 3 screws(I had some in my junk drawer) This one had enough screws but only had 4 instead of 5 shelves. That was fine; I just had a nice bigger space at the bottom of the bookcase for bigger books. I am 70yrs old with arthritis in my hands. Normally it’s hard for me to assemble things like this but the screws were lined up with the preset holes and just “flowed” together fast. Thank you for selling these items for such affordable prices!!! I would give it 5 stars but didn’t have all the parts.

The shelves were not tall enough to hold binders as I had hoped so they need to lay down, but it fits nice in the space I needed it, and my son doesn’t mind his binders aren’t upright, he jus likes they are near the door to be easy to grab n go for school. The back of the unit didn’t line up right so I used wood glue to hold it in place where nails couldn’t be used. Be sure to read the directions carefully. I was able to assemble by myself within 20-30minutes and it was light to move myself to move where I wanted it.

These shelves are perfectly spaced for a standard book, which means that I can't store my oversized books in them, but it also means that I don't have dead space like you get with a lot of book shelves. I bought two of these and they're consistent in both height and color. They're sturdy and aren't showing any signs of early warping even with completely full shelves. I ended up attaching the back pieces with a staple gun, rather than the small nails it came with, for the sake of my downstairs neighbors. I needed these to fit against a short wall, and the size was exactly as described. I would buy these again, and I might if I manage to fill both of them up.

This shelf is a neat little shelf that I put in my kids playroom. It holds books and the DVD player sits on top of it. It was relatively easy to put together, but I had to make some modifications of my own because the shelf spacing did not work for what I needed. I ended up drilling my own holes so that I could raise a shelf to allow bigger books to fit under it. The shelf itself is pretty sturdy and I have not had any sagging. One thing that I wish the shelf came with though were white caps to go over the screws. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice. All things considered, I really like the shelf. It is the perfect size for the area that it is in and what I need it for. I have never really had great experience with particle board furniture, but this shelf seems to be holding its own. I guess it does help that I have not moved it much and it is light and small.
