The exact thickness of these particle boards are what I've seen on much smaller shelves, it has no business being in a shelve of this size. If only they used thicker boards and a slightly better design, these shelves could be way sturdier if they didn't underbuild everything. For the price you'd hope it'd be built a little nicer, rather than the cheap junk it is; but it looks decent from the finished sides. Hopefully it holds up okay for a while. I'm not expecting to be thrilled by the little weight it can carry. The only reason I bought this is because I had literally no other option in this form factor, short of trying to build a worse looking but sturdier plywood shelf myself. I love the way it looks and it does the trick but it’s only held together by those little wooden dowels in the middle. It’s not super sturdy, but definitely holds storage bins and some books and decorations.

The area where I keep all my pet supplies was badly in need of some organization. I wanted something small that didn't take up a ton of space. This met my needs and was easy to assemble by myself. I've seen reviews from others talking about the cheap materials and lack of sturdiness. For $50, I wasn't exactly expecting the highest quality. Very easy to put together in under 30 minutes. Every piece is labeled, including each package of bolts and screws. It’s only about 2 feet tall but will work for my purposes. I’m using it to store cat food and have a perch where they can eat. As for sturdiness, it says not to put over 10 lbs in each cubby, so can’t put too much in it. ... show more

I bought this shelf to repurpose an old TV armoire and get more storage. It fits great and works as intended for clothes storage. Assembly was quick and easy save one point. The panels have small stickers labeling each piece per the instructions. Two of the stickers tore the surface finish which was almost paper thin. Works fine for my situation.
