Basically just like the headline, that was the primary reason for the purchase. My dog, PJ, loves it and loves to clean his face on it. Because I feed him on my bed (not spoiled at all!) I put a cloth over the blanket to keep his new blanket clean. Then I realized that food was dropping into the long strings!! Whoops! I turned it over and was surpised that the backing is beautiful and not messy like the fuzzy side. So now it's turned over all the time. I got this for my bed and my cat, it's frustrating to find cat puke or cat fur on my mattress just before bed. This instead keeps my cat off the bed because she's scared of it, whatever works I guess lol. I took a star off just for the fact that it's a bit slippery on the bottom and there's no way it'll stay in place if a dog were to lay on it. ... show more

I ordered the largest size they have for my small shepherd (65 lbs) and it's just too small. If you cover the back of the couch, it wont cover all of the seat. If you cover all of the seat, the minute she gets on it the back falls down and my couch is now covered in hair. It's holding up for the moment in the pics, but trust me, if she moves around the back will fall down. The manufacturer would be smart to alter the size to better fit sofas and also maybe add some anchoring apparatus/straps? ... show more

I use this on my bed for puppy accidents and I really like it. Before I bought it some reviews stated that clumps of fur came off of it when they washed it.
