I have a leather couch that the dogs are allowed on, but there are rules. They know that they can jump up and lay down, but they are not allowed to jump and clamor around and leap all over it. So when I get a cover for the couch, I only need to cover the bottom cushions. My couch is 70" wide and this cover fits perfectly. Since I'm only covering the bottom cushions, I just take the fabric that would go over the back, and wrap it around the cushions from the back. The extra fabric goes all the way under the cushions and comes out the front a wee bit. The part of the cover that would go over the arms tucks in under the ends. This has worked perfectly at protecting the couch, as the tucked in parts keep the cover in place perfectly. The paw prints are adorable...small and cute without being tacky. The color I chose is a medium to light taupe...very neutral. I haven't tested the water repellent feature, as the cover is new. I've never had a dog wet on a couch before, but since I often eat dinner on the couch, it's more likely that I might spill something. Time will tell. Works great for our purpose as my dog digs at the couch cushions. I feel like the couch is well protected. The cover grips really well, but the only con is there is no good way to securely clip on the things to make the cover stay up on top. It fits perfectly! There are two small foam cylinders to hold the cover in place. It covers more of the arms than the one that this one replaces. We have not used the pockets, but I can see where they would be usefull.

The first one I ordered didn't arrive. It was quickly replaced. The chair cover is reversible. It has pockets on the right hand side if I put it on the chair with the gray side up, but the pockets on the left side are underneath and unusable. If I turn it over and put it on the chair with the beige side up, then the pockets on the left side are underneath (on the gray side) and unusable. So it does have pockets on "both" sides but only the right hand side of the chair has usable pockets when the cover is on your chair and you are sitting in it. ... show more

I like this cover—nice material and concept. But it requires constant readjusting because the buckle on the back strap bent after a couple of days making the strap unusable. The optional strap to keep it secure was one of the reasons I chose this item.
