First off this is a great compactable fishing net. Very convenient. I bought it to use while in my kayak. It worked great. One small problem.... it was too small for the fish I caught.

I had one of these nets, but like an idiot, I accidentally left it at a fishing spot. Bought a replacement from another company that seemed to be the same size, with the same features. The replacement was too hard to slide the clamp down, to open and close the net. I returned that one, and went back through my old purchases to find the info on this one. I placed my order and was happy to end up with the same product as my original net. The clamp mechanism on this one is super easy to operate. I like the looks, portability and weight. Easy to use except that the first fish I’ve used it on got stuck on the net. Fish was moving a lot in the net so maybe that’s why it got stuck. It took a few minutes to set it free. Luckily the fish survived. To bad for my new net, it ripped.

So I just got my net today and I was expecting it to be a lot smaller due to some of the comments saying it can barely hold a bluegill. Well I can confidently say this net can and will hold a nice bass cat or carp. It's plenty big enough. Can't wait to bring a fish in with it.. it's easy to fold.
