For my first book nook, I thought this was a great kit. I purchased craft glue, and a hobby tool set separately, which I definitely needed to complete it. I found the books slightly difficult to put together smoothly, but they still turned out alright. The instructions were relatively clear, but there were some details that I thought could have been elaborated on. For example, the little pieces of PVC that were provided for the windows had a film on both sides that needed to be removed. This was not described in the instructions. I initially thought there had to be a film because of how cloudy they were, but when I couldn't seem to peel it away, believed it was meant to be translucent which led to frustration. Once it was all put together, I could not see into the front of it well. I ended up taking it apart to take the windows out due to this. Once removed, I was finally able to remove the film and put it back together again. The finished product looks very true to the pictures. It is so vibrant and cute on my bookshelf with my other books. Assembling the light also took me a moment to figure out. The pieces are well labeled and relatively organized. I didn't struggle to locate any of the pieces I needed and finished the entire thing in a couple of hours over the course of a couple of days. I thought this was a lot of fun and can't wait to buy another book nook to feed my crafting obsession.

One you get the hang of it, the instructions are really easy to follow. I had one piece break during assembly but it was one the manufacturers had already thought to send a spare. It took me about 2-2.5 hrs to put together like they stated. They didn’t send any glue, which is fine, but you’ll need some and I highly recommend the type that dries clear. That’s what I used and I’m very happy with the glueing, especially the windows which could have gone badly. Nice size for a bookshelf. Solid quality. Great thing that was included for functionality was a back plate that twists to open in order to change the battery. I was a little worried how easily battery replacement was going to be but their solution made it super simple. Great product.

Completed this with my wife in a few hours at a casual pace. We both had a fun time putting it together and absolutely love the final product. Enjoyed it so much that we immediately purchased some more builds. Instructions were really good, pieces were good (but not many spares), and the build itself was very well thought out. For instance, they give you "windows" specifically to keep dust out. Only complaint...wish they had included a little glue stick.

Very cute! Good instructions to make assembly relatively easy.t thicker wood makes it hearty. Some of the smaller pieces were more difficult, but weren't too bad. Minimal glue needed. I'm addicted.

Purchased for my wife who is a book lover, and it did not disappoint. A good project that took about 6-8 hrs to complete for a first timer. It was neat seeing all of the tiny pieces. It lights up very well on her bookshelf! You will need your own craft supplies (wood glue and a curved hemostat are what she used).

This is the second one I have gotten my daughter's girlfriend, and I am not disappointed at all! Design was just so awesome and cute! Everything fit perfectly and it's nice and sturdy. This one also has a light in it and it's perfect! I plan to keep getting these for her, quality is excellent, and definitely worth the money!

The kit was pretty straightforward in building, but still had was engaging enough that my family had a lot of fun building the bookstore. It fits nicely on our bookshelf. The materials are of good quality and the lighting really finishes off the bookstore quite nicely. We are very pleased with the book nook. Be aware of one potential issue in the manual. The instructions were a bit misleading (or we were not paying enough attention to the details for the item numbers) on the second page. At the top of the page we were instructed to assemble the books. The instructions then immediately led us to assemble the bookshelf and glue (what turned out should have been other books) to the bookshelf. Upon turning to the next page we realized our error, but it was too late as the glue had already dried. Aside from that, we are very pleased with the final product.
