I really need hip replacement but don't want to commit to that yet so this device has really helped with the pain while I wait on surgery. My husband uses it on his shoulder and really enjoys the pain relief it provides. It has 4 different power modes so you can find what works for you. It makes absolutely no noise so I can use it while watching tv and not bother anyone. It is very easy to use with great directions included. It charges up fast and lasts quite a while on one charge. I feel like it was a really great value considering I was paying this much for one session at my dr's office. If you have pain, you will not be disappointed in red light therapy.

I own a Mito red light panel and have used it for a couple years for my skin and joint inflammation and have seen real results. I got this portable device to use on my hands and feet since I thought it would be easier to use on smaller areas. It’s definitely very handy to have for small areas. Unlike the red light panel, this one has to be placed directly on the skin. I haven’t had it long enough to tell if it is helping the arthritis in my knuckles and fingers, but it has been very convenient to use. It’s lightweight and has a nice carrying case and charges easily with the included usb charging cord and plug in adapter. It’s easy to use with several different intensity settings. It can be tiring to hold in place for the recommended amount of time, but I like that I can use it anywhere instead of standing or sitting in front of my larger panel. The price is fairly high, so I am expecting a lot from this device. So far so good but only time will tell.

After reading about NASA studies some years ago on the benefits of infrared and near infrared devices I started experimenting with LEDs, but clinical grade devices were very expensive. This is a very handy home size. "light that includes the near-infrared spectrum (750 to 1400 nm) — generates structured water in your cells, which plays an important role in biological functioning, including your cardiovascular function." "According to NASA, 660nm is the optimal light for skin healing. 670nm is actually most beneficial, but takes much longer treatment times because it doesn't penetrate the skin as easily. Anything from 640nm to 680nm is beneficial, though, as long as it's a single (monochromatic) wavelength, so sorry but incandescent IR light bulbs don't work. There is also 830nm which works for deep tissue healing. 1072nm was recently discovered by British researcher Dougal to have healing effects on the brains of Alzheimer patients, and it shortens cold sore healing time, too."

When I got this I wasn't 100% sure it would help at all, but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I hurt my knee, yes doing something stupid, and have been using a brace to help as it heals. I can actually tell a difference when I use this the night before. It's not as weak compared to nights I don't use it. Very happy I tried this, going to see if it helps my wife's back next. Easy to use, turn it on, select if you want the light pulsing or constant, select the power level and select the time. Then just turn it on and take your time going over the selected area. Battery lasts a good amount. 5 ten minute sessions at full power and battery still shows full. It's also easy to charge. Zero pain or irritation using it, if you do get that stop using it.

At first, I was skeptical about red light therapy. That is, until I gave it an honest chance and tried it. For me, I find it works well. Beyond just using it as a pain-relieving tool, which is the primary purpose, it also does wonders for your skin. On the low 660nm setting, it is great for use on your skin. I have used it on my face and neck and find it promotes better blood flow, healing and makes my skin look healthier. On the other two settings, it will work wonders on stiff joints, and make muscles feel better if you perchance have overexerted. Of course, your results may vary, but for me, I really like red light therapy. I use the full body one at my gym and this handheld device at home. Lightweight, and rechargeable. Packaged in a nice case that includes the charger, cable and safety glass when using certain settings.

This is very nice and gives me a little relief. I use it on my neck where I get a kink. It's not irritating on my sensitive skin. It's soothing and ease away my pain. Works when used as recommended. I've had red light therapy before and having it at home is great.

The media could not be loaded. Prior to owning this portable, handheld red light therapy device--I've owned a powerful red light lamp. So, I know what true power feels like, and this handheld one, though effective, is not on that level. However, I did say "though effective". Specifically, for a handheld, chargeable, portable red light therapy device--this device is reasonably powerful. Really though, the promise of this particular device isn't how powerful it is, rather it's the fact that it's handheld and portable. Those attributes make it highly convenient. You can travel with it conveniently and still enjoy pain relief and other benefits. I wouldn't recommend this as your primary red light device. However, I do recommend it as an adjunct.
