While these things are like phenomenal, they're really sturdy, not no cheap metal that bends really easy, very solid. Well made, I definitely would suggest if anybody is looking for some Jeep interfenders. These are the style to go with. There are many different ones, but this particular one is the one that I got. And I would definitely suggest people to buy it. I will not return this and I don't think other people will either because it is definitely not cheaply made high five to the group that made this.

Adding front inner fender liners to a Jeep JK is mainly about protection, especially if the factory plastic liners have been removed, damaged, or trimmed to make room for larger tires. These liners help protect the engine bay from mud, water, gravel, road salt, and other debris thrown off the front tires. They also provide additional protection for wiring, hoses, electrical connectors, ABS wiring, and other components that would otherwise be more exposed inside the fender area. Another benefit is keeping the engine compartment cleaner. Without inner liners, the front tires can throw an amazing amount of dirt and debris directly into the engine bay. They also help protect the backside of the headlights and surrounding areas from water, mud, and gravel. For those of us who live where road salt is used during the winter, having this extra barrier should also help reduce the amount of salt and moisture reaching areas where rust and corrosion can develop. These liners have ventilation openings that provide a way for heat to escape from the engine compartment rather than completely closing off the wheel-well area. They also improve the appearance of the Jeep, especially if you are using aftermarket or flat fender flares. Instead of looking into an open wheel well, the liners give the area a much more finished appearance. Aftermarket liners can also provide better tire clearance than the bulky factory plastic liners, which can be useful on lifted Jeeps or those running larger tires. If your Jeep is primarily street-driven with some moderate trail use, I think *** aluminum *** inner fenders make a lot of sense. They are lightweight, will not rust, and should provide plenty of protection without adding the extra weight of steel liners. One thing to keep in mind before starting the installation is that you may need some additional hardware. Removing the factory fender flares will probably break some of the original fender flare clips, so I would recommend having replacement clips ready. You may also need replacement plastic or nylon rivets for the outer flare, along with a rivet gun designed to install them. For installation, I would recommend doing one side at a time. Jack up that side of the Jeep, safely support it, and remove the tire. Having the tire out of the way gives you much more room to work. Also pay close attention to the wiring harnesses inside the fender area. Make sure nothing is pinched or rubbing against the new liner. If any wiring is close to the liner or tire, use zip ties to secure it safely out of the way. Overall, inner fender liners are a worthwhile upgrade for a Jeep JK. They provide protection, help keep the engine compartment cleaner, improve the appearance of the wheel wells, and can provide additional clearance compared with the factory plastic liners. Just make sure you have the replacement clips and rivets you may need before you start taking the Jeep apart. I’d also suggest adding one or two sentences about **how these particular liners fit your Jeep and how difficult the actual installation was** once you’ve installed them. That would make the review even stronger because it separates your experience with this specific product from the general benefits of inner fender liners.

I finally got around to installing these in my 2009 JK Rubicon. The fender liners are made of sturdy steel, powder coated in black. All the hardware needed for installation is included. Installation itself is straight forward, but if you have the stock plastic fenders, make sure you have a rivet gun and black plastic rivets on hand to put them back on. It also helps to have additional plastic clips, in case you break one while removing the fenders. The liners fit well, but I did have an issue with the nut on the mounts not lining up well. This delayed installation, while I figured out how to solve the issue. I ended up drilling out the piece of metal that was in the way. Aside from the nut not lining up, my other issue is the passenger side flag is facing the wrong direction. It just feels wrong to have it retreating. Other than that, the liners look great, once installed and add good protection to your engine bay.
