Description

Dentists recommend kicking the paci habit by the time baby is 12 months old. We've got the weaning process down to a science (literally!) with this 5-step system to ditch the pacifier for good. Each paci is progressively shorter - and less satisfying - so baby gives that binky the boot. No kitchen scissors required! Wash before use

  • Attempting Pacifier Weaning
My son is already 16 months old and we're trying to wean him off the pacifier. So, we bought this baby paci weaning system and tried it for 2 days, but so far, it's been unsuccessful. We gave him Step 1 during the daytime, and at first, he tried putting it in his mouth. Then, when it was time for his afternoon nap, he couldn't fall asleep at all. As a result, he hasn't had any naps during the day for these two days. We might have to wait and try again after some time. ... show more

  • Ineffective but child liked it
Product has a great concept but wish they would sell the stages individually. Didn’t really work for my daughter since step 4 to 5 is a drastic difference. She ended up staying on stage four😣

  • Add to cart and don’t look back!
My 2 year old was pacifier obsessed! I let her be because she was teething. I decided it was time to wean her at 2 years old. Before buying this kit, we weaned her to only using the paci at naps and nighttime (I think this helped the kit’s success!) After a week, we moved to only nighttime, it was a struggle but she adjusted. After 2 weeks of only nighttime pacifier use, we bought the kit and followed it BY THE BOOK. It worked!! We are now at 21 days fully weaned! She likes to hold the step 5 pacifier as she sleeps but its really just a piece of plastic, the mouthpiece is nonexistent. (You’ll see what I mean when you purchase it.) And hey, she can hold that thing in her sleep if she gets married for all I care, it’s out of her mouth. The kit works y’all. ... show more

  • Do not buy for toddlers
I’m not sure what age this is intended to go up to, but it did not work when I tried to wean my two year-old off of pacifiers! She started to bite and make holes in her original pacifiers so I bought this, hoping to wean her off in a nicer way, and the minute I gave her this pacifier she bit it completely off, almost like there was a line ready for it to rip off! Super scary and I didn’t even make it past the first level. Going cold turkey was the only option for me. Tough but it works eventually! ... show more

  • Worked shockingly well!
These actually worked! I had very low expectations because my 2 year old was obsessed with her pacifiers- specifically the Nuk orthodontic kind. She would not use any other kind, so I was pretty sure she'd just reject these and scream about it and I'd cave. To my great surprise, she just accepted that her regular pacifier was gone, and this was the new kind- when she asked why it had a hole, I just told her it's a "big kid pacifier". She loved the different colors and wound up just taking a bunch of them at once and not sticking to the system at all, but I didn't care because she didn't actually use them. She just liked to have them nearby, any time she put one in her mouth it was out again a minute later. After a couple of weeks she totally lost interest, so I put them away and months later she hasn't gone looking for them again. ... show more

  • A godsend
My husband wanted to go cold turkey, my heart couldn’t handle the screaming. With this we were able to wean him off at 18 months. He got up to level 5 and ditched it entirely. THANK YOU!! A couple tips: 1. Use a pacifier lanyard to clip baby’s binky to their pajamas, otherwise they will lose it at night and cry trying to find it. 2. Go backwards if needed, sometimes baby just needs help going to sleep. Ultimately we would still try to progress every couple of nights. 3. The jump from level 2-3 was hard, they will still cry, it’s ok ... show more

  • Worked like magic! Almost no tears!
The paci progression worked like magic! The first stage was the hardest one, she complained a bit that she wanted the “other” paci and cried for 5 minutes. But after ignoring it and saying that we only had that one, she accepted reality and moved on. From there is was a breeze. Now she won’t even ask for it anymore. ... show more

  • In love!!
This made getting rid of the paci SO easy. Our daughter was so clingy with her paci so we knew we couldn’t get rid of it on our own. We were even hesitant to try this because she was so attached. In 9 days the paci was gone! She threw step 5 away all on her own and has had no trouble since, even at naps and bedtime!! I was so shocked! It’s been a week without it and we still haven’t had an issue wanting it back. 10/10 recommend!! ... show more

  • I Could Have Cut Our Pacifiers with Scissors for FREE
Better than cold turkey, but definitely more expensive than just taking some scissors to the existing pacifiers every day or so. The 5th pacifier is a complete joke- you can't even get it in the kid's mouth so it's a waste of plastic just to prove a point. So once we were done with the 4th pacifier we went ahead and just started doing naps cold turkey. We have been working on quitting the paci for about a month with my 19 month old. It's tough. What has helped is we read a few books about saying "Bye Bye" to the Paci before bed. That prepared him before we gave him the Frida set starting at #1. Each nap time and bedtime at night we read the book then gave him the new paci. Sometimes we had setbacks but eventually made it to #2, then #3. We were stuck on #3 for weeks. The jump from #3 to #4 is a significant amount of material. It is a wide open space my son had to get used to already so when it opened wider he was MAD. Well once we got to #4 we realized how big of a joke #5 would be and just gave up and started Cold Turkey naps when we were ready. His naps got shorter when he woke up wanting the pacifier and eventually he embraced he wasn't getting it back. Bedtime was the same and that's where we are now. One wakeup at night and we would give him the paci only to stop the insanity and make him go back to bed without it, even if he asked again later. We have had some late nights and early mornings. Anyway, the method works, and the amount of time it takes per stage will vary by child. But you really can just cut the pacifier as you go so you don't backslide to a bigger size, or waste so much money. And if they are charging this much they should give you a book to read with it, which we also paid for. Save your money and buy a book for half the price and take scissors to the existing pacifier until it's a nub then fight through the cold turkey. Your kid won't remember any of this in a few weeks/months. ... show more

  • It works!
we were using paci from the time she was 2 months old to 18 months old. The reasons I wanted to wean her were: she began walking everywhere with 2 pacis, I was terrified of losing or forgetting it and just in general, I consider my daughter old enough not to stop her every cry with paci. I weaned her from breastfeeding when she was 13 months old. So this system is amazing! It took us 6 days to wean her completely. I just followed all the instructions. That’s it. Step 1 - 2 days Step 2 - 2 days Step 3 - 2 days We didn’t need step 4&5. Loved it and highly recommend it. Still can’t get used to no worries about her paci ... show more

  • It works!
So we used it on my two year old. First thing... every kid is different so adapt it to how you think your child my use it. For our twenty six month old, we gave her each phase for 3-4 days. Till stage 4 she didn't really notice any difference. She was fine by with it. By the time we got to phase 5... she looked at the pacifier and went "What this? No paci"... she was spot on because that last stage has nothing. And then she turned around and fell asleep. She has been not using one for the last two days. Now hoping she stays off it. ... show more

I was very skeptical of this, thinking there is no way! By the end of day 2 my little boy was over it, and He loved his paci so much! He was very, very attached and always had one his mouth and one in his hand. • Worked like a charm!
So I'll start by saying I was extremely skeptical and totally prepared for this not to work on my almost 3 year old. I was reading some info and other reviews that said this was geared towards younger toddlers/babies because when kids get too old it's more of an emotional attachment and it's harder to give up. We had started trying to wean her off a few months ago and we were well on our way. Finally got her to only at sleeping time and in the car. But with the pandemic and having to stay home all the time, trying to work, there was a complete back slide. It was the only way to comfort and make her happy at some points. She went from almost being done to a complete addict having the binky ALL the time. Now my daughter had started biting through the binky. Like REALLY chewing through. I had been eyeing this product for a while and finally decided to give it a shot being desperate to get rid of the binky. Well, it worked PERFECT. I followed the instructions for each level and she definitely noticed this was not her usual binky but just kind of went with the flow when I told her she was getting to be a big girl. I think it was either the first or second level but when she realized it was different again she just looked at it and put it on the table. Just only after the first couple of levels we were down to just using the binky either at nap (or attempt at nap). I wasn't sure what would happen when we got to the end and there was just a little nub. She wasn't too happy about it,but it didn't last long. two night ago was the first night while we were at that level and fell asleep with no binky. didnt even ask for it. she did wake in the middle of the night looking for it and was quite upset, but we expected this. so after not being able to calm her down, we gave her the level 5 binky. she just kind of looked at it and was a little sad but got over it quick and then calmed down. it was like just seeing it gave her comfort. we then put it on her dresser and that was that. we had trouble getting her back to sleep but that's not binky related. she has other bed-time issues not binky related. last night was amazing. she went to sleep, didnt even ask for the binky. she even slep through the night until 6:30 this morning. this was a miracle. so i'm calling this all a victory. no matter what happens from here on out this kit helped kick the binky habit. another thing that i think helped soften the blow is i bought a new lovey/friend, whatever you want to call it, to give my daughter at the same time we said goodbye to the binky. i'm not sure how much of a part it played but I think it helped. it was someone for her to hug and help console her when she was missing the binky. ... show more

  • Step 3
I bought this product for my 1 year old. She is currently on Step 3 and didn’t really use it at night and none throughout day. I’m so excited. I think I’m going to move her to Step 4 tonight. Update: She is barely using the Step 4 at night. Mostly just chewing due to teething.
