Description

10" x 60T heavy duty Multi-Purpose blade Ideal for hard- and softwood as well as stacks of manmade material, the 10-inch Freud LU82M010 Heavy-Duty Crosscutting and Ripping Saw Blade delivers fast, true cuts in high-volume professional settings. Featuring 60 teeth with TiCo high-density carbide tips and Freud's Silver I.C.E. coating, which helps reduce heat buildup and prevent corrosion, this dependable blade pairs versatilty with long tooth life to keep you working quickly and efficiently.Deep Gullets and Triple-Chip Tooth Grind for Speed and Versatility Quick and accurate, this multi-purpose saw blade is built to help you handle both ripping and crosscutting. The blade is well-suited to cutting both hard- and softwood, as well as cutting through stacks of manmade material. It features teeth with a triple-chip grind (TCG). In this configuration, each flat-top tooth is followed by a trapezoidal tooth that's slightly higher. The trapezoidal tooth delivers a precut slot that's narrower than the final kerf, which helps prevent brittle materials--like chipboard--from chipping near the blade. Plus, the large gullets between these teeth ensure quicker cuts and easy chip removal. The blade's ideal crosscutting range includes materials that are 1/2 to 2-3/4 inches thick, while the range when ripping includes materials that are 3/8 to 3/4-inch thick. It has a 5/8-inch arbor and produces a 0.126 kerf.Well-Balanced, Anti-Vibration Design This Freud blade is precision balanced and pretensioned for truer cuts under heavy loads. It also features laser-cut, anti-vibration slots that reduce chatter for a cleaner finish, longer blade life, and reduced noise while you work. And because the entire blade is laser cut from high-strength steel, you can trust that it will stay stable, flat, and true, even after prolonged use.High-Density Carbide for Maximum Cutting Performance This heavy-duty saw blade's 60 teeth are finished with tips made from Freud's application-specific TiCo high-density carbide "general purpose blend." Formulated to maximize density, hardness, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance, this blend is ideally matched to the varied demands that are placed on a multi-purpose saw blade. With teeth that start out sharper and deliver improved edge retention, the blade can go longer between sharpening, and will hold up longer--saving you time and money.Silver I.C.E. Coating Resists Corrosion, Heat, and Resin Buildup This blade is finished with Freud's Silver I.C.E. coating, which resists corrosion for improved performance over time. This unique coating also resists heat buildup, protecting your saw and your work surface and preventing the blade from warping. It also helps prevent resin or "pitch" buildup.Since gummy pitch buildup causes extra drag on the motor of your saw, less buildup means longer tool life and longer blade life. It also means less downtime for blade cleaning, so you get jobs done faster. This industrial saw blade is backed by Freud's limited lifetime warranty.About Freud: A History of Innovative Manufacturing An industry leader for more than 50 years, Freud America, Inc. is a manufacturer and marketer of superior carbide cutting tools for the woodworking industry. • Great for rough stock
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
Great for rough stock on my radial arm saw however terout on harder woods like hickory and white oak is common so if you want to do fine woodworking you will need a blade with a atb grind not tcg like this one

  • These are great
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
I've had a couple of these before. Versatile and durable. Other blades my or may not do a beter job for specific purposes but these do a good job at pretty much everything. The price is good and thet hold up for a couple of years of daily use.

  • Simply the best!
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
I’ve purchased many different brands of saw blades for use in my Woodworking shop but it comes to quality+price. You can pay a lot more when it comes to industrial built blades but Freud is always on the other side of the “=“ for me.

  • I didn't buy this to chop through boards, I bought it to cut smoother dados.
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
All my saw blades would leave a rough v cut in the board, and all the stores selling blades only offered the same chopping blade. I had to find a blade that was better to cut a flat top, and even seeing this I could not be sure without it saying flat top blade. I really didn't want to get stuck with another blade I already had. Just before I used this I made a wooden blade cover to get closer to the blade. I put it in and raised the saw to cut through from the bottom and had to precut where it needed to be on the bottom. I rip up logs with it that were cut to 5 1/4 thick, and made my cuts on both sides to cut clear through. Normally the saw motor would over heat and shut down if there was any dullness to the blade, but I cut though a lot of wood and made a lot of boards without the motor over heating. I just have a 1.5 horsepower motor with a small top on the saw to fit easy in the back seat of a car. I never took this blade off, and it has been a few years now, and I am still happy with it. I made one mistake of getting to close and the saw cleared out some skin in a very clean cut. Nothing to stitch up, I just waited for the skin to grow over. It healed without much of a scar, so it really dose make a clear cut with any wood. I worked with oak, spalted maple, cherry, pear, plywood, and soon dogwood. It is an advantage to cut my own wood to use for small projects and the only problem was not the blade but the saw. I is old and I replaced the rail lockdown at my own cost, and not something I expected for Craftsman, so I have no reason to buy their products, and the first day I was putting it together the blade guard was made for a different saw, so I never really had the right guard. I learn to be carful when the board warps when cutting, and most the time it don't leave much wood while the board keep bowing in and keep cutting to get a straight edge. At least with this blade it makes the saw safer. I see the wood pinch the blade and back up and cut again clearing the path so no pinching the blade. This blade does good with cutting and clearing along the sides of the grove, so less pinch risk. ... show more

  • Cuts cleanly and without fuss
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
Used this blade to rip 2x4s and cut 3/4" plywood. Has handled everything well - cuts cleanly and doesn't burn. So far so good.

  • Not a flat bottomed kerf
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
Despite what some reviewers say, this does not leave a flat bottomed kerf. The center is slightly deeper cut. I bought this primarily for joinery work, so I am not sure I can use it. Otherwise is very heavy plate, full 1/8" kerf and heavy carbide. It cuts plywood cleanly, at least while it is sharp. I think that I prefer the 50 tooth combination blades over this one. ... show more

  • Pretty good heavy-duty blade with excellent rip cut on oak, walnut, maple and 3/4 inch plywood.
Style: 10-Inch 60 Tooth TCG Crosscutting and Ri...
The blades make very good impression by the way it looks and how it performs on table saw. I did several test cuts with this blade on my 3HP cabinet saw and I should say that for $34 that I paid to Amazon I've got a beautiful deal. I am going to present the quality of cuts using a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is terrible and 10 is great. So, here it is: 1. Cross cuts: Pine 8/10, walnut 9/10, red oak 9/10 and 3/4 inch birch plywood 5/10 2. Rip cuts: Pine 8/10, walnut 10/10, red oak 10/10 and 3/4 inch plywood 8/10. I should mention that the quality of rip cut on heavy woods like walnut, maple and oak is outstanding. Right from the saw I would glue two parts of oak boards that were just cut and a few minutes later I will not be able to find that cut line! So, ripping heavy/hardy lumber is very good task for the blade. 3. The blade feels heavy and it runs quiet with no run out. Very happy that I've purchased this blade. I am a contractor and I do make cabinets and some furniture with custom size/shapes. My next order is walnut bedroom furniture set with a desk and some custom bookshelves. I do see a good use for this blade for the upcoming project. Update #1. Today I used this blade to rip cut several 3/4 inch plywood sheets and all rip cuts came out exceptional! Smooth cut surface, not tear outs and no burns. I was feeding plywood very fast, but it seems like the blade is OK with very fast feed rate. So, I am changing my rating for 3/4 inch plywood rip cuts from 8 out of 10 to 10 out of 10! Way to go Freud! ... show more
