This is now my favorite bass. The pickups/preamp are unexpectedly powerful! My teacher, a professional/symphony/band upright player, really likes it as well. I give it a four only because you get what you pay for. This is exactly the same build at the g- style brand for string fretless I own also bought from Amazon. Not sure if it's the same company or they just use the same blanks to build out. Nut was not filed properly, but the inlays on this one are way better than the for string of the same style(get board not entirely level) . All in all it's a decent bass the price but it will need some work. Pickups and pre amp are of course noisy which is something I've overcome(they use belcats which until a few years ago I never heard of) by swapping a few parts and use a noise gate. Again for the price ... Decent enough. This build is a vast improvement over the g-style brand that looks exactly the same .
