  • What a surprise value...this instrument is a steal for the price!
The media could not be loaded. There is nothing to dislike about my new 6 string fretless and everything to love. I have looked all around and NOBODY makes a 6 string fretless. It came in the mail sooner than expected, which was an added plus. With opening the box, I was expecting a beginner's level instrument, but to my surprise, it was a professional looking/feeling bass that was on par with my other basses that cost me 1k or more. The feel (thickness and sturdy), the sound, the look...I can easily see me picking up a 2nd one at this low price. I am soooo happy with this purchase! The best bang for the dollar I have ever had in all my years with Amazon...seriously. ... show more

  • This is a really nice fretless for the money, it's worth it!
I was reluctant to buy the less expensive sunburst model so I went up a notch for this one. Super glad that I did. It is a clean machine and possesses a quality feel and sound for a low price. I bought this to learn a new instrument, but I've played guitars and Chapman Stick for 40 years so I'm not exactly a beginner level test case. It's very heavy, but is comfortable to play sitting or standing. I will be switching to Flatwounds ASAP however to smooth out the sound and ease of the the fingering changes, more like an upright. That is a preference that is up to the player. Note that the scale length is considered long/standard long at 35.5 inches to accommodate the intonation of the low B string. Triple check any strings that you buy to make sure they are not for a shorter scale - or extra long scale as they are meant for basses that load the string through the body of the instrument (they will break if they wind around the posts). The longer scale length means slightly longer note ranges on the fretboard, so if you have smaller hands consider a shorter scaled bass. Overall this is a really good find. If you know what you're looking for, this might be a great find for you too. Good luck! ... show more

  • Great for the price
The media could not be loaded. As my first fretless bass this is everything I was looking for. There's a slight buzz on the first string (C) according to Guitar Center Tech, but this is definitely not an issue. I thought fretless bass are known for the characteristic buzz. For the price I Love It and I'm excited to learn on this instrument. Worth the purchase. ... show more

  • Great buy
This bass is built very well. Craftsmanship is exceptional. I only made minor adjustments by tightening a few bolts. I've experienced the same thing with more expensive basses. It plays with ease and smoothly. Great value. I'd suggest buying to anyone that's in the market to get a 6 string fretless bass and not break the bank. ... show more

  • Monster of an axe
I love a heavy instrument, and this one isn't balsa wood for sure. I was greeted with a great figured top. Playability is outstanding, nice sustain and harmonics. I din't have to setup a thing out of the box. The electronics are quiet, effective EQ. With upgraded pickups and more finish detail(you can feel the grain edges here and there) Fend*r would have charged a couple grand for an instrument like this. What a great bargain and a perfect way to torture myself with a 6 string bass. ... show more

I love the sound. Have another Bass not fretless. I can’t get enough. One day I’ll get use to it. MAYBE. Unique sound not unique to Fretless. What’s unique is the price. It’s like a tax cut or a school voucher. You get what you need without the price. Highly recommended. It’s like all six string fretless yet affordable. Allows me to prepare and appreciate a product I believe I will enjoy for a lifetime. A fretless is not just a Bass. It’s an experience. Thanks for making it affordable. Highly recommended. For the bass player on a budget no excuse. We all should have one. Thanks. I like your STYLE.😎. I’ve owned this bass now for several months and just want to add. This is for beginners not for professionals . It’s a practice bass. Too flawed for recording. Not bad for beginners. ... show more

  • For the price it worth it.
I use it for practice. Its a little heavy but ok. Sounds ok but for me I will change to another type of string set.

  • Amazing! Like a beautiful coffee table with strings!
Just a quick review; Perfect shape on arrival. I set up more than a hundred guitars and this was the easiest set up ever. Intonation was spot on. Strings were pretty low. Neck was bowed back quiet a bit. Double truss rod. Don't be afraid to put some muscle in to the truss rod(s) for relief their pretty tight. I love the feel of the instrument. O fret but I can feel a little bit of fret on a couple of frets and I get a slight buzz in that area. Very careful small filing should do the trick. Personally I'm switching over to flat wounds. They just feel better for fretless. Tone is darker that norm which I personally like. I have a Schecter 6 string fretless that is brighter. Absolutely a beautiful base. BTW I've been playing guitars and basses for 40 plus years and probably have had way over a hundred guitars and basses. This is in the top 10. ... show more
