This was perfect for national honors society ceremony and the length was good for school I think it runs a little bigger than others but with the adjustment wasit made it fit perfect... My daughter is 5'0 and 93 lbs I think I ordered a 12(size 10 would have worked but my daughter like comfort and she has lots of rtg).. I would recommend this skirt as I love the length and fit. Don't listen to people that say this skirt looks cheap it's does not and it easily to iron and fits great.

Pleasantly surprised -- good fit for tall, thin 9-year-old

My 9-year-old daughter is quite tall and slim--it's impossible to find bottoms that fit her properly. Things are either too big or too short. I was having trouble finding a uniform skirt that fit her appropriately. I ended up ordering both a size 6 and a size 7 in this skirt, and both are going to work. The 6 is just a *tiny* bit loose in the waist (but will work just fine once she tucks her shirt into it) and hits right above/at the knee. I needed to adjust the waist on the size 7, but it looked fine once I tightened it and hits right at/below her knee. I love that these have the adjustable waists--key feature! The material is also better quality that I expected. I threw them all in the dryer when we got them, and then we washed and dried them after that. The pleats stayed and they seem like they'll hold up well. I also had my 5-year-old kindergartener try on the size 6. I had to adjust the waist for her quite a bit, but it was great in terms of length. And the skirt seems to lay fine even with the waist elastics tightened a bunch.

This exact, pleated skirt is required for our daughter's choir uniform, and it's pretty well-made. I appreciate that it has the elastic in the waist, because I'd say it runs quite large. I ordered a size 7 for my smaller-than-average 9-year-old and it's still quite long. I believe the style is intended to hit below or at the knee. But the flat waist is also oversized, thus the appreciation for the elastic sections that allow us to tighten it on two sides. Nice pleats and very sturdy weight. Quality material that will last a long time.

Great for longer legs and adjustable waist bands!

These are perfect for my girls school uniform requirements. They both were blessed with long legs so finding proper skirts that meet dress code requirements is a must. Students can get written up their skirts are too short, they must be at or near the knee cap. The skirts fit well, have adjustable waist bands to tighten if needed and look great. These keeps my girls from worrying about dress code violations.

Sizing way off

Sizing is completely off. It says girls skirt but this is definitely for like a junior or woman. I thought this skirt would fit my 4 year old because it says size 3 but it is huge! The sizing is way off. It’s super long. She can barely walk. The waist is somewhat small but the length is ridiculous. The material seems fine just sizing way off.

Love these. After reading tons of reviews I decided to go with size 18 for my 13yo. She’s 5’8 and the skirts hit her on top of the knees. Perfect amount of modesty, and makes her look sharp for school. She’s a tall girl with a bit of girth to her, these are her measurements: Waist- 34 Hips: 43-44. She has a bit of a bum and full thighs and the skirts are comfortable with a tiny bit of slack leftover in the waist. I got the khaki and navy and they fit the exact same. Haven’t washed it yet but if the pleats loosen up it should be easy to re-set them with a hot iron, because they are stitched into the seam at the waist. Only thing missing are pockets. Every girl needs pockets!
