Bought this for tennis. I'm 5'5", 130#, 36" hips; bought a medium. Somewhat of an "A-line" skirt, which I like; better to move in. The waist fits to my waist and is firm (I have a little belly, not flat), not below the belly button. Hugs my hips good. The length is mid-thigh. Material is fine for sports. The under-shorts are very thin and there is no cotton piece in the crotch (for this I took a star away). You can wear underwear and they do not show through the skirt. I think the elastic in the shorts will hold a tennis ball without falling out. Compared to "real" tennis skirts, the price was too good to pass up. ... show more

I really like this skirt. I prefer not to buy clothes on Amazon (secondhand or local/small business is best!!!) but I couldn’t find an affordable skirt with build in shorts AND pockets. I needed a skirt that’s appropriate for work, not too short, and easily washable - this is perfect. I’ll also wear it hiking, and it can be dressed up too. It’s super comfy and you can have a phone/small wallet in the pocket without it showing or looking bulky. I usually wear large/US 10 in bottoms because I have a big butt/hips/thighs but a smaller waist and the size L fits perfectly. It’s also not too short which is usually an issue for me because I’m 5”8, and typically shorts/skirts don’t fit over my butt so they ride up in the back….these don’t do that!!!
