We got these as a replacement for our more expensive uniform, cardigans, because they keep going missing at school. Nice heavy fabric. Not super soft but my daughter has not complained! We bought these for our boys-who are VERY rough on clothing, shoes-everything. Their school only allowed two colors for cardigans and this was a great alternative to the Land's End cardigan their school tried to initially push. These are washed weekly and we haven't had any issues with pilling, shrinking, etc. We have gone through the entire school year with them. They fit as expected and I almost wish I would have ordered a size up for our oldest-only because he hit a growth spurt and now it fits exactly but will be going to his little brother :). Due to other reviews I went up a size and aside from the sleeves being a little too long, The sweater was a perfect fit. It did have a bit of smell straight out of the package so I recommend letting it air out or tumble with a dryer sheet before use.
