  • Great power bank. Trades some features for higher battery capacity.
I like this power bank. Screen is small but gives all the info you need, and the color LCD is a nice touch. Powers everything just fine. This x700 powers 650 watts with a surge of 1000 watts. Some devices like drills, saws, blenders etc will surge to a high wattage then immediately come down to running wattage. So check the items you want to run off it and look at the wattage they use. With 665WH on the capacity of this unit, that means if you plug in a device using 650 watts it will run for an hour... 325 watts would run for 2 hours, and so on. And NO, heaters are not meant to be run off any size power bank. They draw anywhere from 900-1500 watts so even the huge power banks might only run them an hour. As others mentioned, get a heated blanket... they draw about 40-90 watts and once the reach temperature they cycle on/off so they will run a long time. I found the included charger can get pretty hot. But, I also found Dell brand chargers will work with it, so I bought a 240 watt Dell charger that has been working just fine and does not get as hot. Also bought a small DC adapter set here on Amazon so I can use my 60 watt solar charger on this. One nice feature of this x700 is pass-thru charging. That means you can charge the unit and it can still be powering devices at the same time. You can use it as a UPS, but power banks are not meant for that so it is generally not a good idea to keep it connected as a UPS all the time. Only other negative I would mention is the removable light. Works just fine when connected, but the only time I tried to use it detached it only lasted about 25 minutes. Maybe mine is just bad, but I have plenty of flashlights which I recommend anyway... just get a couple of USB rechargeable flashlights and you can charge them off the main unit. ... show more

  • 662Wh bang for your buck (6 month update)
(6 month update) It's January 2025 and this power station has been a dependable workhorse. LA County is getting ravaged by wildfires and strong Santa Ana winds. My home power has been on and off in the last two weeks and I'm extremely happy with this power station. I do have the other bigger Anker SOLIX batteries for fridge and lamp duty, but add a 200W solar panel and this Fremo has been keeping my portable devices running through long periods without power. The one thing I want to point out is the recharge plug on the Fremo is starting to get a little bit lose, but it has not affected it's ability to recharge. This could be because I've been using the power station much more than usual during these last couple of weeks. Couple of add-ons and tips. Try not to use the AC 120V outlets if possible. This is true of all battery power stations. Because your power station has to convert from DC to AC 120V and back to DC again for your phone, laptop, tablet, you see where a lot of energy is lost during conversion. It's best to use the 12V "car" plug or USB-C directly with your devices, which the Fremo does have! One USB-C port is rated for up to 20 watts, which is good for my phone and is doubling as a hotspot. The second USB-C port is rated for up to 100 watts and has plenty of power for my Dell XPS 13 notebook -- the notebook I think draws up to 60 watts when charging, but at full charge the Fremo says the notebook only draws about 20 watts watching videos and browsing the web. Invest in some good, low powered led lights that are bright enough. I have string lights that can illuminate most of the inside of my home and draw less than 30 watts per hour. They will last a couple of weeks on most of the decent small power stations if nothing else is plugged in. (2 month update) Still happy with this power station. I'd definitely buy it again. No major issues. I've been discharging to anywhere between 10% to 80% (varies) one or two times per week in these last two months. Detachable LED Light -- doesn't fall out on it's own on my unit, and I've tossed this thing in the trunk of the car a few times. The only issue that I've seen is that sometimes you hold the power button for a bit on the light and it doesn't turn on. But you keep doing this a couple of times and it works fine, or replace it back into the unit dock and use the power stations control to turn on the light, then after that it works as normal. I try to remember to keep this plugged in to be ready to go for the next use. At a draw of say 0 - 150watts it will cycle the fan on and off. It's is audible, but not intolerable. If you go around 200 watts or more, the fan does start kicking on more often until it runs consistently. (Original) Mainly bought this unit because of the price to energy storage ratio. You can't beat the price for what you get. I already took this camping and on two road trips in the one month since I've owned this and I've been very happy with it. I was up in Sequoia national park last weekend and I used this to keep a 12V refrigerated cooler running for 8 hours in a car that was 90 degrees most of the day. I think the charge was around half at that point. The fridge draws up to like 60-70watts on high. It charges relatively fast too. My main gripe is that it comes with an external power adapter to charge up, instead of being integrated into the unit. It could be easy to replace if it fails, and maybe this could be an advantage where you can't replace the unit that's got a built in AC/DC charger. ... show more

  • So far very, very impressive
I bought 2 of these and just unboxed 1, came packaged very well, really nice looking unit, came 30% charged... They claim 662 watt hours which is mind blowing for the price, but even if it's half of that in reality it's still worth it.. So far I'm glad I bought 2 of them and I'm tempted to buy 2 more.. But I will update after I run it tomorrow, but so far I really like it, it's built really solid.. After charging and running some things on it I'm really happy with the one I unboxed, so impressed I pulled the trigger and bought 2 more, however I will say the price went up from 199 to 229, not crazy about that so I went over to eBay and found 2 over there for 199.01... so I have 2 more coming... I have a large off grid solar and wind system I installed about 5 yrs ago, still runs great today , I used hybrid car batteries for my 3 battery banks, so that being said I didn't buy the solar panels for these because I can just plug them into a wall receptacle and use my off grid system, I have one set of panels I got with my other small power station.. I got these not really for myself but for my parents and other decent people to borrow and use in case things go dark in this country for a while... But also instead of running my big battery banks down at night one can take one of these using a double male end cord that's easily made and back feeding the power into your breaker box you can power one side of your breaker panel to run your lights and Internet, this is not really made to run refrigerators and big things but it would run LED lights, Internet and a fan for quite some time, possibly all night, therefore saving my much more expensive electric car batteries... I will update this in a day or 2 when I really test these power stations, but so far very impressed.. UPDATE: I have back fed 1 fremo into my off grid solar breaker panel, a few observations.. From 100% I powered my home lights, Internet and a deep freezer, it took 3.5 hours to go down to 50%, so theoretically it could power the lights, Internet and my deep freezer for 6 hours, and that's only 1 fremo... I can actually run 2 fremos at the same time, so this could get me through the night in a grid down senecio .... Secondly, this does not put out pure sine wave power, not a big deal for me but may be for others, the lights are dimmer when powered by this, but nonetheless it's better than no lights. And I don't have to drain my big battery banks down. I still recommend this power station for the price they are asking, I believe it is a really good deal. I will update again after tonight, tonight I plan on running 2 fremos, 1 powering one side of the breaker panel and 1 powering the other side..and see how it does thru the night, I'm going to guess they will do quite well.. ... show more
