So far these have held up great and fit well under my snowpants, (I only wear baggy pants anyways) I’ve taken some pretty hard falls already, just a heads up if you fall hard enough you will feel the pain however the recovery is much quicker. Got for snowboarding. Saved my tailbone and hips more than once. I can fall on crust ice and get right back up. Waistband elastic is tighter than the actual shorts. Best to size up. Velcro fastening is a bit itchy. Well made and have held up for a year.

I bought this for snowboarding. Been riding my whole life and don't fall too much but wanted the extra peace of mind. It has saved me some scrapes and bruises on surprise icy side hits and some rail bails. I don't notice it when it's on, and just wear it like a pair of shorts underneath my bib. They're also sleek enough to fit under a pair of bball shorts while driving, and don't get in the way while driving. I do recommend sizing up. I am a large in everything and wear waist 33 or 34 pants, and got an xl in these and they fit perfect. They have some stretch in them as well. Highly recommended! ... show more

    • Velcro closure is unnecessary bulky, small waist with loose bottom fit according to size chart

I am writing this to let the manufacturer know that Velcro closure at waist is not needed, it makes the short bulky around waist to fit inside my outer pants. I follow the sizing chart to order XL for waist of 30", the waist fit comfortably but the rest of the shorts is loose fit even though it still works, but the fit is off proportion. I wonder the design is to meant to have very tight elastic waist but what's the point to choke the waist line? The shorts padding is great! However, I had to return this because the fitting. This is a common issue with most of the products on the market right now, after trying multiple pairs, I found this one by OHMOTOR that offers elastic waist without Velcro and the size fits well according to the chart.
