  • PERFECT for hand laundry - still like new after more than a year!
Color: Navy Blue(upgraded) Size: 23L (Lid)
Prior to this purchase, I spent well over a year exploring ways to do laundry by hand in my tiny apartment with very limited storage space.I have tried the 5-gallon bucket route, and I also experimented with some very large plastic bins (punching holes in the bottom and using a plastic suction tub stopper to plug it up). They worked great, but were very bulky to store, and awkward and heavy to use. I'm already storing the rather large spin-dry machine, which works great. But I didn't want to have to dedicate an equal amount of space for whatever I was using for a wash bin. So every few months I would search for (and buy) other options. Eventually, that exhaustive - and exhaust-ING - quest to find the perfect washing vessel led me to this collapsible bucket. I wasn't sure when I first saw it if it would be large enough or deep enough for my typical hand-wash loads, but fortunately, one of the previous purchasers posted a picture of him using the laundry plunger (which I also have), and that helped to give me perspective on the size and capacity of the bucket. The price seemed reasonable, and I loved that it collapses, so I ordered two. I received my well-packaged box very quickly and used them the very first day. That was in July 2017. It is now nearing the end of August 2017, and they have held up very well to a year-plus of frequent use and abuse. I believe I have finally found my Goldilocks fit for my hand laundry! The size is very easy to manage and fits easily in my double sink as well as in my sit-down shower, giving me two options for doing laundry. The buckets also dry on their own very quickly, much to my delight and surprise. After just a short while, they're nearly dry, and a quick wipe-down with a cloth dries them the rest of the way for collapsing and storage. I keep my spin-dry machine in my bedroom armoire when it's not being used, and the collapsible buckets fit nicely right on top of the spin-dry machine, so my whole laundry get-up is very compact and easy to manage and store. The buckets are sturdy and stand up firm when filled with water. I didn't think the covers would be of much use to me, since I'm just using them for quick laundry in my apartment rather than camping or travel. But I also discovered that when I want to use the buckets for overnight soaking, keeping them covered not only keeps the water warm longer, but it also helps to contain the scents of whatever concoctions I might be using for soaking so that the smells from OxyClean, detergents, and various stain removers don't permeate my entire tiny apartment. It also doubles as a great foot soak bin, which I also sometimes use in my sit-down shower (a great amenity in my senior-themed apartment community). The plastic feels thick and durable, so I expect these buckets to last a very long time with proper care. They do have a very faint odor when you first open them, as you would expect with many plastic items. But I washed them inside and out with some hot, soapy water, followed by a quick spray and wipe-down with my DIY essential oil cleaner and disinfectant, and the smell was instantly gone. I also give them a light mist of the same DIY concoction after each use and before storing, just to keep them sterile and to discourage mold growth in case they're not bone-dry when stored (germophobe at work!). I love how easy it is to empty the water out of them. Just press down, and the water starts to come out, and very quickly, it's empty enough to safely pick it up and dump out the rest without worrying about causing a flood or the water weight straining the bucket. Much easier than what I had to go through with my bulky hard-plastic containers. I like having two buckets because it makes it easier to stage the clothes when I'm wringing them out for transferring them to the spin-dryer, and I sometimes also have a second one set up for rinsing, or just washing or soaking two separate loads at once. At this price and with minimal storage requirements, it just makes sense to have two. A few months after purchasing these buckets, I decided to upgrade my laundry options and purchased a portable washer and dryer. I am very happy with those purchases as well, and I originally anticipated that I would be finding a new home for my plunger, buckets, and spin dryer. But much to my surprise, I realized I like having both options available. If I want to catch up on a big pile of laundry, I'll pull out the portable washer and run everything through there - maybe once every 2 to 3 weeks. But if I just want to do a quick wash of one or two small loads, it's much easier to just pull out my plunger (I now have a small one and a large one), one or both buckets, and my spin dryer. So all of my handy-dandy laundry "toys" are here to stay. I'm very, very happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend this bucket for anyone wanting to do laundry at home or on the go. You won't be disappointed! :) ... show more

  • Big enough to hold our 30ft RV 50amp cord
Color: Green(upgraded) Size: 23L (Lid)
We use this to hold our 50amp 30ft RV power cable. And while camping we use it to bring water to the fire pit to put out campfires. Dual purpose which is good to reduce how much you haul camping Would be good to have exact diameter and depth measurements in official description

  • Great traveling bucket
Color: Green(upgraded) Size: 16L (Lid)
We use these buckets almost every time we go exploring with our grandkids. The “treasures “ they collect are contained and are great for helping them share their adventures with their friends and parents!

  • So far so good and is standing up to my stress testing. Will work great as camp shower.
Color: Navy Blue(upgraded) Size: 23L (Lid)
I bought this in hopes to make a DIY camp shower as all the "camp showers" on the market seems to have a tendency to prematurely break and this water bucket had good reviews. I purposely bought the dark blue color so it would heat up easier under the sun. At the moment, I've only performed some stress testing on the bucket and have not used it as a shower yet. In the review, you can see 2 photos attached of my testing. I filled up the bucket most of the way. I had it filled up all the way, but some of the water will spill out when you move it and there is no way to avoid that. From my testing, I found the bucket will stand up on its own when filled with all the way with water and its handles are strong enough to being dangled from a piece of wood board or from a carabineer. I've actually left it almost full (as mentioned some of the water do spill out while being moved) for several days now trying different set ups that I might use to dangle this bucket from a tree branch. It has stood up to all of it. I've left it hanging over night, during the day, and stress tested it as much as possible as I obviously don't want 50 pounds crashing down on my head in the forest. Also due to the dark color of the bucket, my water actually heated up quite fast after being left out in the sun and it was able to absorb the ambient temperature really well too. One con I did notice, and I'm sure is with all collapsible buckets, is that it can't stand up straight when there is empty or only partially filled. For it to stand up on its own all the way, you have to have it filled up with water or else it will collapse on its own. Since I think this happens to all collapsible buckets, I won't dock it any stars. As of right now, I recommend you get this bucket if you are looking to make a camp shower. Just use some reusable wire ties and wrap a long plastic tube to the handles with one end of the tube in the water Once you hang this up on a tree and get some water flowing through the tube, gravity will do the rest siphoning the water down and you can have a nice camp shower. ... show more

  • Initial Impression--Very Nice
Color: Khaki(upgraded) Size: 16L (Lid)
Durability - I do not foresee any issues, the material is very thick for both the body and lid. I initially fill it at the tub full of water to check for leaks and to stress out the carrying handle and no issues with those components. After rinsing and air drying, for the material it also dried fast. Will be using for my portable camping shower setup. Wished I bought 2 or a larger capacity version, but only the 4gal+ version was immediately available. Once in the field, if there are any issues, I will report back. If you do not hear from me, than that the product worked fine as intended. Overall initial impression and performance is great. Thank you. ... show more

  • Good for non-use water
Color: Sky Blue(upgraded) Size: 23L (Lid)
I bought this for camping. I needed something to wash dishes in and use for general utility. If you are looking at this to use with any kind of drinking water, don't. The instructions say to wash it well and leave it outside for several days before using. I assume that this is because it smells like a chemical plant. It literally smells like a tool floatie. Not for potable water. I will update this review after I have actually used it for some time as well. ... show more
