These FreeSoldier Men’s Fleece-Lined Outdoor Cargo Hiking Pants were purchased for hiking outdoors through cold, snowy conditions. Priced at under $40 they are a great value with better quality and look at lower price than comparable products. I am 32l x 30w and ordered that size based on many reviews stating the pants tended to run a little large. The pants I received were 32 x 30 and fit about an inch larger, which is great - not too big for cold days when I wear them by themselves, not too snug for very cold over a thick thermal layer. The extra length and boot-width bottom is just right to not slip beyond my boot and not ride up when my knees are bent. The leg bottoms are not likely to fit over ski boots. There are plenty of pockets - two diagonal on each leg that are a bit shallow, two reasonably-deep on each side at the hip, and one right rear. One concern is that the zippers pull up to close and are likely to come down hiking. These pants will resist splashes of water but driving rain or any real contact with flowing water (like kneeling or sitting on melting snow) will result in water being pushed through the weave - a compromise for breathability at this price point. Only disappointment is with the belt buckle being just thin plastic and likely to break in the cold. It is a cheap accessory on otherwise good quality pants. Reliable tactical belts are available at a reasonable price. I’ll repurpose this one for light-duty tasks around the yard.

Wore these to Mammoth the past weekend. Layered up with these on the outside in 9-19° weather and I stayed warm and dry. Windchill was on point and I didn't feel anything getting through. I sat in the snow for a bit where I did feel the chill eventually come through but they stayed dry. After standing up, I was fine after a minute or two. I hiked I the snow with no problems. They are super comfortable, and I mean SUPER. Extremely well made, Like $300 quality. Pockets are well made and let no wind through the zippers. And there are multiple pockets. I only found that the top hip ones were a little hard to close but that's because I have to wear a 34 instead of the delayed 36 delivery. Still, they were easily zippable with holding the top of the pant. I ended up using the thigh pockets for my small wallet and other needed items and they were easy to zip and rugged as hell. I did not get overheated while walking in these with layers at all. The length at 34 was perfect and fit perfectly over my Colombia Bugaboot™ III. It's a pretty big boot but these pants easily went over, and stayed in place. The waist is nice and I loved the added small piece of embedded elastic. That allowed me to wear that 34 over the possible 36 that was delayed. The belt is strange. Small, flimsy but I'll say that even that worked well and stayed in place. Mabe a bit better clip would be needed. I plan to actually snowboard in these as they are that good, especially with icebreaker thermals and fleece joggers underneath because I still could bend and move without hindrance. Would I buy these again? 100%. Why? Warm, windproof, waterproof(how I used them), and comfortable. Durable, EXTREMELY well made. Just top quality IMHO. Hope this helps.

I just wore these around Tahoe in the snow and also on a fishing trip and these things are warm. Sometimes, too warm. They are very nice when outside in the freezing cold but I can't wear them for very long indoors without my legs starting to feel sweaty. It would be nice if these pants had those zippered vents on them tolet them breathe a bit when inside or when exerting yourself outside. Not sure how durable these are because I didn't put them through much but they are warm and look really nice and I'm blown away by how little they cost.

Love these pants for hiking in cold weather and snowshoeing. They fit well, very comfortable, and very warm. Also like the deep pockets. My only problem is the belt - when cinched snug, it works it’s way loose in a short amount of time. I keep having to retighten it. I had to purchase another hiking belt to replace this belt.

Have been using these for 6 weeks for work, in cold conditions. Only layer I need for lower body. They are roomy, stretchy, warm, super comfortable. Pockets & zippers high quality, convenient thigh pockets too, all with nice fleece lining. Only had to roll the pant cuffs since they were slightly long for me. Will be getting another pair most likely. Only problem so far was the belt, the nylon part became unstitched from the plastic clip. No big deal I used a different belt

I bought these pants for my husband for Xmas not sure if he would like them but I WAS VERY WRONG HE LOVED THEM. The fit was great. 38/30. HE LOVED ALL THE ZIPPERED pockets , Also he liked it had back pockets. He liked everything about them. It was a great buy and the price was good. He looked at other colors and wanted another pair in camo We lived in NC and his legs were toasty ( we live in the mountains) so if u think ur other half would like them be assured he will love them. It’s really nice to find pants that’s great in every way and well made. If u live in cold these pants would be perfect and they are also waterproof They would be perfect in the snow. We lived in NH and I know they would be great for skiing , plowing snow or playing in the snow etc etc. one last thing , they r toasty but not to hot in a little warmer weather. So go ahead and purchase them. U won’t be disappointed at all. Wish they had them In ladies but with a tighter fit lol Buy these pants. Thank u to the company for selling decent clothing. It’s nice to find great things. Ps he won’t take them off , my honey wore them for three days straight !!!
