  • If you're picky with trees, BUY THIS!!
Size: 7.5 Ft. Style: Unlit
Since I was little I've been a REAL tree kinda gal. The smell, the joy and adventure of picking out the perfect tree, it was amazing. Theeennn I became an adult at some point and every year the fun has been fewer and farther in between. The traffic to go get the tree, the agony of picking a tree my OCD will be happy with, (this could take hours and many different tree farms to happen), the sap that gets EVERYWHERE! The trail of pine needles left behind once it's inside, (not to mention finding said pine needles for months on end after Christmas) the constant watering the tree needs. And maybe the worst offence of all is the tree slowly but surely drooping and dying a week before Christmas, without fail, and becoming petrified to the point some ornaments just will not come off. There are other offences but those are the most irritating. So after the obligatory Christmas day photographs and seeing a dead petrified tree in the background last year, I had enough. Next year, I said, we're getting a fake tree. Well good grief I had no idea how much fake trees actually cost! Not for decent ones anyhow. I mean is Balsam Hill seriously charging $1000+ for good fake trees? Do I look like a trust fund baby? I don't think so! I resigned to an obviously fake looking tree that I could afford, but would be without the hassle of years passed and was ok with my decision. Then I happened upon this beauty. I literally searched hundreds of trees on dozens of sites. Couldn't find one that I liked the look of. I didn't want a perfectly symmetrical tree that looked like a triangle. I wanted depth and character. I could not believe my luck! I saw the preview image of this tree and instantly knew that it was the one for me. I was just hoping beyond hope that the review photos would look like the preview images. I then went through all of the User submitted images and could not believe my good luck! I was amazed at how gorgeous the tree actually looked once it was fluffed up in all of those images. I wasted no time and bought this beauty. It was supposed to arrive about a week and a half after I purchased it. Which I thought was odd because it was a prime deal. But I knew that I wouldn't find another one like it so I was willing to wait. Lo and behold to my surprise it arrived about 4 days after I ordered it! I could not have been happier. I purchased the non-lit tree because I wanted to be able to change the type of lights that go on the tree if I ever wanted to. There was nothing fancy about how the tree was shipped, it was simply in a big cardboard box with the company logo on it. There are three sections to the 7'5 tree. Each branch is hinged on to its section and when you flip it upright, they fall into place. The inside branches of the tree are the plastic green old school branches that you are probably used to. But all of the outer layer tips of the tree are quite real looking, more real looking than anything else I found that wasn't Balsam Hill. And as you can see from my images, you have to look pretty hard to see any of the obviously fake bits, as they are mainly to hide the base of the tree interior. A few words of caution however; it will take you quite a while, about 4 hours for me, to fluff up the tree to your liking. Again I have OCD so it may not actually take you that long. I would highly recommend, as I didn't realize this until after the tree was finished, that I would use gloves of some sort when fluffing the tree. It wasn't until I used some hand sanitizer and nearly died that I realized how many paper cut like lashes I had up and down my arms and hands. I should have figured this out beforehand, but never really having a fake tree or at least never being the one to fluff any fake tree left me devoid of that particularly useful knowledge. I would also fluff each section separately. Having all sections on the tree and then fluffing is an absolute nightmare. This only took me about a half hour in to realize this. I don't have much experience with fake trees but what I can tell you is that with the copious amounts of research that I have done to try and find a budget tree that looks as real as possible, this is about the only one out there that met all of my criteria and then some. I did have one small piece of a branch break off, a very small section, and there were some pine needles that did fall after the fluffing episode. I believe all that is to be expected though. Overall I could not be happier and hopefully you can see from the images provided from myself and others this is a truly spectacular fake tree and I have no doubt that you will love it! ... show more

  • It Says Christmas To Me
I just got my tree and I couldn't wait to put it together (yes, it's the end of September, but I don't care). In the box it was a bit disappointing. This is my first artificial tree and I've seen a lot of bad ones other people have purchased that made me never want to own one. I have to say I've been spoiled because I used to live in the Pacific Northwest where Christmas trees were easy to come by, but I've moved and wanted an alternative. So, here we are... putting together my new tree. I recommend a comfy chair and your beverage of choice. It's a process. A long process. Well, longer than I thought it would be. Honestly, I was thinking how am I going to get it back in the box? I'm not. I'll figure something out...just not the box. Three beverages later, I have a tree! They used two different materials for the needles (which I'm not thrilled about) the needles closest to the trunk is a cheaper material and I'm guessing to cut cost and the outer needles look like pine. When fluffed the eye is drawn to the outer most part of the branches and the other helps create shadowing. As of now (in a low-lit room) it's a beautiful. I don't have lights on it yet, so we'll see. With pine scent filling the room and Chip and Dale running along the branches I'd think it was a real pine (okay, they may have been strong beverages). Anyhoo, these people know how to make trees. For the price I'm not sure we can do better. Merry Christmas... a smidge early! ... show more

  • Charlie Brown Christmas Tree 😑
If you like to decorate your tree with lots of ornaments this tree is not for you! I really wanted to love this tree but just doesn’t work for me. The branches are too long or too short nothing in between. It does look realistic but the ends are too soft to hold the weight of a plastic ornament ball. Fluffing time: 2hours ... show more

  • Great Christmas tree!
Size: 7.5 Ft. Style: Unlit
I got a heck of a deal on this so my review might not be the same if I had spent more. This is a beautiful tree. It has a beautiful shape. Received many compliments on it!

  • Beautiful tree!
Size: 7.5 Ft. Style: Unlit
Loved this tree after I set her up! Super easy to install and very well made; also easy to take apart after Christmas. However, it WILL NOT fit back into the original box once you've opened it up and used it. No matter how much I de-fluffed each section, I had to store the tree in two boxes. Not a huge deal, just be sure to have an extra box handy! ... show more

  • Best real “fake” tree for the price
Size: 7.5 Ft. Style: Unlit
This tree is great value for your money!!! Trees similarly to this one sell for $500 or more. It did take me longer than expected to set up (fluffing the branches) but worth it. Set up itself was super easy, just a base and 3 tree parts. I ordered mine without lights and wish I ordered the one with lights because the tree is wider than I expected so getting around it is a little bit more difficult in our apartment. I used 5 light strings on mine. This tree looks very real, I love how it has a more Scandinavian look. I couldn’t fit the tree back in the box in came in when storing (only 2/3 pieces fit) might be worth it to save another large box for the last piece. ... show more

  • Beautiful tree
Size: 9 Ft. Style: Unlit
The media could not be loaded. This tree is enormous. for the past 3 years I’ve been looking for a tree to replace the one I’ve had since 2001…delivery was super quick.. assembling it and fluffing it took me about 8 hours. The bottom row is the hardest but as u move up (fluffing) the tree branches begin to make sense and effortlessly fall into place. The branches branch out into 2-3 smaller branches near the tips adding to the fullness. I would definitely recommend using gloves as the branches do scratch a bit. At times I felt overwhelmed by the amount of work and time it requires to fluff but let me tell u it’s worth it. My family I are extremely happy with this tree and look forward to having it for years to come ... show more
