This is the olive oil you put on your salads, dip your bread into,splash on vegetables/seafood/ hummus/tzatziki. This olive oil is resplendent with flavors, both subtle, piquant, and pleasant. It is fragrant because the olive trees used most likley have herbs and flowers growing around thier trunks, intertwining the soil of the plants with the soil of the trees. If you are not able to get to Sicily to savor the olive oils, food, wine, culture, and amazing people, why not try a bottle of Frantoia to savor a tiny taste of real olive oil, not the kind in the groccery aisle. Had been looking for the limited version we love. Saw a couple of Italian stores that carry it but they’re too far and don’t deliver. We tried this instead from the same brand and it has that same distinct taste - full bodied, quite nutty flavour. Nice punch esp on salads and bread. Smells great too.

I came across this olive oil, originally at a specialty shop in Philadelphia. However, I was visiting, and when I was running low on this olive oil, I was really happy to find that Amazon carried it. This is a wonderful olive oil. It taste fantastic and makes a good addition when you want to taste the olive oil, but not have it overpowering. This is not an olive oil that you cook with. It’s an olive oil that you would use in a dressing or to dress a salad. Great earthy all of taste, Without being overwhelming.

I use several different oils (olive, avocado, peanut, vegetable or sesame oils) for cooking, dressing, or finishing a dish before serving. Some oils are better suited for cooking, esp at high temps. This olive oil is what I use in my homemade salad dressings or as a finishing oil just before serving a dish. Drizzle it on your hummus or a summer tomato basil mozzarella salad, delicious! It’s a bit milder, less peppery than some olive oils, won’t overwhelm your dish, only enhances it. Comes in a glass bottle and very well wrapped/protected for shipping.
