I am terribly disappointed at the lack of any care put into the manufacture of these paddles. The wood is already splintering and I want to say the tape looks like a kindergartner applied it, but that would be insulting to kindergartners. I thought Franklin was supposed to be a good brand?

I have found playing catch, basketball, puzzles, painting and science projects are fun but as a contractor I have sheets of 4' x 8' x 3/4" plywood laying around so I popped the plywood up on some sawhorses, bought these and presto another time killer for Covid-19. My kids are 13 and 9 and with 4 paddles even the wife can play. they aren't professional grade but they don't need to be for the above description... just fun ... show more

    • Cheaply Made but Inexpensive & Gets the Job Done

The paddles are cheaply made, the sticker on side of the paddle isn't really sticky so the sticker peels. Both sides of the paddle have the bumpy pattern. But then again it was 10 bucks for 3 one star balls and two paddles so I can't complain too much. I'm a decent ping pong player who's not too serious about the game so all I needed was paddles to play with. If you're a serious player looking for a fancy paddle this is not it. ... show more

Well, FOR THE MONEY they’re not bad but that’s about it. These kinds of paddles aren’t even recommended for beginners, but if you only got 10 bucks and have an itch to play a game, go for it. But i recommend saving for higher quality, pimple-less bat.

They’ve been fun to use, and for the price, I am glad I purchased them (2 rackets, 2 balls, great value!). I do have 2 issues with the rackets: 1. Very little padding. This limits control, as the ball just bounces off the wood. With more padding, you can control the speed of the game. 2. Tape holding padding tends to fall off. I find myself securing the tape multiple times when I see the edges falling off. Overall, if you’re just looking to have fun at a party, or not play that often, these will get the job done, but if you are looking to play more often than that, I would go with a higher quality pair. ... show more

The paddle surface was not glued properly and there are bubbles on the rubber grip causing an uneven surface. The sides are also separating easily so this paddle won’t last at all. However it is the cheapest option and is somewhat playable so 2 stars

These Paddles did the job. They work great and last forever. Before you buy these, you have to understand that these are the most basic paddle you can possibly get. They are perfect for people who are looking for a cheap paddle to play every once and a while. I get very upset playing table tennis, and as someone who owns a budget ($30) table tennis racket, I worry I will throw it across the room and break it or slam it on the table and wear off the edging. I bought these with the intention of throwing in my frustration, but was presently surprised by the durability. The first two I bought lasted a surprising 3 weeks before one ended up broken by my knee and the other giving into the abuse of being slammed on the table, thrown at the wall, and overall just being abused. I reordered a second set and am hoping these will last me a while longer. Also they work decently and make funny noises when they hit the ball, but forget trying to add spin it’s just impossible with the material they used. You get what you pay for, great for beginners and those that get angry ... show more
