The popularity of pickleball is going through the roof and it seems so too are the price of paddles. Sure, the technology to make these paddles has also increased but IMO for 75% of us so-called recreational players the majority of light to middle weight paddles can get the job done if you just put your mind and your feet to it. Husband and I really like the paddles. They have a really nice grit. I'm still getting use to the square handle grip as it makes it harder to change your grip, if needed, which I do. I'll figure it out as I do like the way the paddle hits. My previous paddle was a graphite? paddle and I felt I had to hit/swing so hard. Those were returned. To be clear, we've only been playing pickleball about a year, once weekly, at a local court. These work great for us, although I think they'd work well for many others. I was a long- term tennis player, 18 years, until I tore my rotator cuff on my service arm. It was never the same again and found myself playing less and less, eventually leaving the sport. I wanted a grit to help with top spin and this paddle provides that. ... show more

I’m a beginner and the max grit makes my play so much better!!! The first paddle I bought had dead spots and I did not have the same control that I have with this paddle. Not much to dislike. It does what you do with consistency. It will take a bit of power to generate speed on drives but is good around the net. This is a good paddle for an intermediate player.
