This is definitely a TOY golf club set, not a real set. This was a gift for my 8-year old daughter who has older brothers who have real golf clubs to play with. This way, she can have fun with them without spending big money on expensive clubs that she may or may not use often enough to be worth it. As others have mentioned, it's a pretty nice set for a toy, but they are NOT super durable. They are aluminum shafts with plastic heads. Be sure the child you're planning to give it to is at least old enough to understand how to play with them properly if you want them to last. And, be sure they're older siblings know to keep their hands off them because they won't handle too much force from a strong older kid either. Other than that, they seem like they will provide a lot of fun for a long time. NOTE: Our set did come slightly defective. The putter just won't adjust properly. I had to slowly twist it back and forth while pushing on it pretty hard to get it to compress back to a shorter size after extending it. Once it frees up, it moves just fine and locks in place just fine, but after it has been locked, it just won't properly unlock to adjust it again.     • Solid Little Set...Length Doesn't Always Stay Set

Loved the idea of the adjustable length on this club set. The shafts are metal which is nice but the heads are plastic... probably safer for little golfers. These are pretty dang strong and sturdy... my boys don't always use them as clubs and I have caught them bashing them into the ground like they were beating back an emerging zombie a few times and the clubs were no worse for the wear. We have gone through multiple sets of kids plastic clubs and they never last more than a month. I give it three stars because the mechanism that locks the height in place isn't that great. It doesn't always hold and is often hard to get it to "lock". You are supposed to just rotate the handle one way to lock it but I find myself struggling with it more times than not. They work, they are solid, but they don't always stay the length you set it. The bag it comes with is kinda flimsy, the balls are great for the little guys, kinda squishy. They also love the tees though they often get frustrated trying to balance the ball on it... to my amusement. As far as clubs go, I am happy with this purchase. We ordered this for my son's third birthday. He was SO excited to golf like Dad, and we were excited to find a set that looked real and could grow with him. He had it out of the package for maybe 30 minutes when the head of the driver broke. He was hitting the balls that came with the set, and since he's 3, he hit the ground a few times, but wasn't being overly-aggressive or using it in a way that he shouldn't have - we were watching him. Currently teaching my 3 year old daughter how to play and she loves these clubs. They are EXCELLENT for the money. The shafts are actually pretty good quality aluminum and the club heads are a dense plastic. A young player probably could hit real golf balls with these clubs with minimal wear or damage to the head. An experienced player with high swing-speed probably would crack or break the club head though. The adjustable shafts are awesome. The putter already broke (head came off) but on inspection it appeared to have not been glued properly to begin with. I glued it back on as that isn't a big deal, the putter doesn't need high-club-head speed anyway. Would totally buy them again. ... show more

Received this cute little golf bag with three clubs a couple of balls and some Tee's. The box upon arrival looked re-wrapped and taped. When I opened the box the Iron was cracked and the handle would not lock in a specific position. The wood and putter seemed to work fine. Additionally the bag seam that attaches the bottom of the bag was ripped. I re-ordered a replacement in the hopes that this was a fluke from Franklin. Should get it by tomorrow. ... show more

I ordered these golf clubs will be off for my grandson for Christmas. He is only six years old but enjoys any kind of sport with a ball. His dad wanted to teaching how to swing a club. The handle and club snap the part was not much use and that’s why I say it’s disappointing. Somehow his dad plastic weld it together. I offered to send it back. So I’m not sure if this is par for the course… Excuse my pun… Or I happened to just get a faulty set of clubs. Buyer beware ... show more

I loved the concept of these. Two of my kids have dwarfism, and adjustable everything is necessary. Within a day they stopped adjusting down to a smaller size.
