  • Works Very Well!
Size: Medium Style: Impact Puller
It took two tries to get a complete hammer set (the first set was missing several pieces) but with all the pieces, the set is excellent. The design hasn't changed much if at all over the last 50 years. That includes how it's used. I see reviews with complaints of how bad the set works. But some of those complaints include pictures showing the reviewer using the hammer with the ammo inserted backwards! This set also comes with very clear, easy to understand instructions. They just need to be read if you don't already know how to use an impact bullet puller. I haven't tried using this particular puller with shell holders yet. But several older impact hammers were able to use shell holders in place of the collets. My 50 year old hammer worked perfectly with shell holders. I just need to find where that puller has been hiding... ... show more

  • It works well and does a great Job
Size: Medium Style: Impact Puller
I was very skeptical of these as the price was dirt dog cheap. But, this bullet puller works very well. It's a bummer when you have to pull apart a completed cartridge for whatever reason. I was thinking of buying bullet puller dies and collets but came across this device. First,, you need to have a proper place to strike against. I use the end of a short 2 X 4 board and it works great. Don't strike it against the concrete floor or your counter tops. It works by holding the back of the cartridge and allows the bullet to pull itself out by inertial energy. Bullet and powder go onto the tube. It's a little messy but it works. Well worth the money ... show more

  • It'll work, but you've gotta smack it VERY hard....
Size: Medium Style: Impact Puller
This tool is a must for all reloaders. Especially if you're fixing one or rounds that you have messed up on. This particular model works just okay, I am not impressed with it. You must hit the hammer, VERY HARD on concrete to make the bullet move AT ALL. You must also pause between each hit to tighten the cap holding the bullet in. The first time I used it, I put a .223 round into the the collet and placed it into the hammer, then I would whack it against my work bench, which is made of wood, and nothing would happen. I would pause between every 3 or 4 hammer smacks to measure the bullet with a calipers to see if I had made any progress. I hadn't. I never did get that one out. Another time, I had seated the bullet too deep in a different .223 round. I used the bullet puller to try and get it to come out some. I did get it to work after VERY VERY hard and fast smacking. The "face" of the hammer had deformed some, and I had to use concrete even though the directions tell you not you. I did get the bullet to come out a little bit and ended up being exactly how long my other rounds were, so I left it. I cannot over state how hard you will have to use this thing. It felt like I was going to break it. For more than 2 or 3 bullets that need to be pulled, I would go with a collect clamp bullet remover than screws into the press. I think that'll be my next bullet puller purchase. Bottom line: it does work, but you'll need to wail on it for any results. Good luck. ... show more

  • Simple and affordable.
Size: Medium Style: Impact Puller
I recently acquired the Frankford Arsenal Quick-N-EZ Impact Bullet Puller, and it's been a solid addition to my reloading equipment. Setting it up was a breeze. As a relatively new reloader, I appreciate how straightforward it is to operate. In terms of value for money, this tool hits the mark. It's reasonably priced and seems it's built to last while not being a lunky puller I have to swap in and out of my press. Not sure how many pulls the collet's last, but they do sell replacements if needed. ... show more
