Wore these straight out of the box for 5 hours. Although cute, comfortable, and just barely what I'd call "wide calf," I regret buying these. The boots cracked and peeled after first wear. Total waste of money. For reference: I had to wear the boots with thin hose. I originally tried wearing them with thin boot socks, and I couldn't zip the boots. My calves are 16.5inch circumference.

Purchased 11/18/21. Shipping and packaging were great. I order a size 8 1/2M ..Its normally difficult to find a boot in my regular size that also fits my 16 1/4" inch calf..These did not disappoint. They are cute and comfortable, I even have a pinch of space along the top circumstance for jeans ,thick socks or leggings. The mulberry color tends to look brown in dim light but are really striking in full light. The heel is a proper height for someone like myself with a (tkr) total knee replacement however the heel is just a little noisy but a rubber tap/cap should tame that ...I'm highly recommending my big leg friends give the boot a try.

I have wanted to get these boots from other retailers, however they were out of stock. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Amazon had them so I purchased right away. 1. As you can see by picture one shoe looks like something was spilled on shoe and rubbed off. I should not have to pay the listed price for a damaged shoe. 2. I ordered my normal size in this brand and it fit without issue. 3. I returned for a replacement pair hoping the replacement pair did not have issue. 4. Aside from defect I like them. 5. I received the replacement pair but not changing my rating. I believe no other retailer has this particular style in stock because there is an inherent issue with the inconsistent finishing. The replacement pair I received has the same issue just not as noticeable. Not use to this brand having lower quality in the finishing of their shoes. 6. If these boots are defective, they should consider discounting in my opinion.

Franco Sarto and other sites still list the boots from Winter 2020 for $149, however, the boots are only worth $35-$45. Based on this purchase, the Franco Sarto quality control has gone down significantly; they used to make gorgeous pumps and shoes. The boots I received do not match the picture on Franco Sarto's site, or the one the seller provided (from francosarto.com), the photo was altered by the manufacturer to show a structured (stiff), tailored high quality material; the material of these boots is actually flimsy, thin, and poor quality. The boots arrived folded in half in a shoe box, not in a long boot box like a high quality boot that cannot be folded. In addition to the photo being altered to picture a higher quality boot than what I received, these boots were sold as wide calf and are not. I wish the seller (and Franco Sarto, especially) would have shown a non-edited, true-life-photo of what I actually was going to receive: a filmsy boot. And I wish I would have opened my package sooner.
