This hair gel does indeed seem to be easy on the skin and has no annoying fragrance. I saw other reviews in which users said it doesn't work at all. I found that pretty nearly true. The first time I tried it, it didn't work: my wild hair simply didn't respond to it. I asked my barber about it, and he said to wet my hair, rub the gel into my palms until it feels sticky, and then make sure to apply it to the top of the hair as well as the bottom. Following those directions, I can sometimes get it to work. The hold is light and non-sticky, looks and feels natural, easy to wash out. ... show more

Just fyi, this review of a product designated for men is written by a woman using it on short hair. :) Chemicals in fragranced/scented products are migraine triggers for me, so fragrance-free products are a requirement. I ordered FRAGFRE's men's styling gel, as it seemed to be the strongest holding product in their line, an important feature for my frustratingly fine, straight hair! This product adds a look of enhanced volume while holding my style in place well, especially given Florida's severe humidity and the fact that I haven't been able to see my hairdresser in three months! This stuff is fantastic! Even tho it says Men... it rocks for my updo buns every day for work. Doesnt move. This is a must to keep those hairs in place. Oh and I also love the hairspray because it is the only one that doesnt irritate my scalp!
