Great net and the fish don't seem to spook like they do with a green color net at least that was my experience. Its wide and easy to handle, little bit heavy as the netting is coated with rubber or something like rubber.

I bought my 2nd one recently. On its first use, the netting ripped open from a fish spine like a knife through hot butter. I couldn't believe it. My old net of the same model is still intact but all the paint was flaking off onto fish so I bought a new one. I've since compared the material between the 2 and the new model is made of far less durable netting for a higher price. Very disappointed. Do not recommend. ... show more

I haved used this net to land a 40Lb Musky. I wouldn't suggest lifting a large fish by the handle as it wouldn't support the weight, but the net is so deep that you can net the fish and keep the handle on the side of the boat while you unhook the fish while it's still in the water.

With some modifications it's great. The metal poles end up sliding out of their sleeves and the end caps come off. So I drilled some holes in the sides of the poles and used zip ties to ensure the poles stay in their sleeves. It's lightweight and does a great job handling musky vs nets. I hang it off the side of the raft (secured closed) and unfurl it when the musky is on. Has held up well over the last year. ... show more
