The media could not be loaded. Female, 5”1, 230 lbs/ 34—14” mattress I’ve had a rock of a mattress for the last 3 years and have chosen to religiously sleep on the couch. My mattress was harder than the floor, back hurt instantly just laying on it. It broke my heart when my dater wanted to sleep with me but even when I tried, I always had to leave the bed for the couch due to pain. Because I’m no skinny lady I assumed I need to lose a hundred pounds before I can find comfort in a bed. I have failed for 3 years trying to pretend my mattress required weight loss to let its potential shine. I slept in a hotel last week and for the first time in years I realized I actually could be comfortable in a bed. I’m not able to afford much and if I have extra money, it goes towards my kiddo, not me. A friend suggested to get one off Amazon. Like the most dangerous idea of getting a mattress.. something I’ve never sat on or tested to be sure. My last mattress came with the frame from a friend that she used in her guest room.. which I accepted because I didn’t have one. So I didn’t pick out that mattress. I spent 8 Hours going from review to review. Always finding a negative of it being too hard and a review on the same “hard” mattress being too soft. I really wanted it to be soft, but thought my only option was a pillow top. I got a memory foam bed 10+ years ago 120 pounds lighter that made me feel like I couldn’t roll over. I was worried maybe I don’t like them soft? How can I make this decision. This mattress didn’t have as many reviews but I felt comfort in the fact that someone who returned it (for being too soft) had a good review about their customer service and them following through with the 100 day trial guarantee. So I bought it. It was heavy carrying the box in, but my bedroom is very close to the front door. I unboxed it on top of the box spring. It was missing the cutter that it says on the outside of the box would be inside, so I used my own tool instead. I was terrified I’d be knocked out by a mattress explosion, there are some pretty interesting stories out there lol, but was able to get both sides cut and it unraveled. No injuries or Danes occurred. This mattress weighed much less than my last one that I barely shoved out the door by myself. It’s also more flexible which is helpful. Apparently it’s “heavy” and you need two people… but I’m a single woman on a mission with no one to ask for help. I heard we have unquestionable strength when we’re on a mission. But I had no problem doing this on my own. It unraveled upside down So I had to flip it, but again it really wasn’t that hard. When I took it out of the plastic it expanded almost instantly measuring 12”. I went back to measure a half hour later and it was almost the full 14”. I was worried my weight may cause it irreversible trauma if I laid on it too soon, but I had to know.. was this mattress a mistake. When I laid on it, stomach down it was so comfortable. I immediately thought you don’t need a pregnancy pillow in exchange for your weight watcher subscription? You can lay on this! Laying on my side was amazing and when I laid on my back I thought I must be imagining this. It was comfortable. Like why would I ever leave my room again? The true test will be sleeping on it tonight but I’ll tell ya it’s no longer anxiety and fear, it’s actual excitement and positivity thinking it’s going to work. Currently giving 5*… Will review again after I sleep on it! Oh and I didn’t notice any sort of smell! UPDATE: After 4 nights. Okay so I have now slept on the bed 4 nights. I want to emphasize I have slept on a couch the last 14 years. I slept on the mattress the first night only giving it about 5 hours to expand. The ruler measured 14”, but I don’t think that was enough time for the center and whole mattress to expand. The first night I woke up in pain twice. I like to sleep close to the edge with my feet off or horizontal with my toes off the edge. And I flip like a pancake or sausage but mostly like to sleep on my side or stomach, which when you’re over weight is like sleeping around a boulder. (I know back is best but it’s hard for me to feel comfortable.) Night 1: I was really comfortable laying close to the edge and wanted to hang out in my bed watching tv for a while. I have never wanted to just chill in my bed. I fell asleep on my back and woke up hurting almost like I hyper extended it because my butt and shoulders seemed to arch my back and didn’t feel supportive, I rolled to my stomach, and again I was hurting. I was pretty upset the next day in pain thinking, was the bed a mistake, or do I just need a chiropractor from over a decade of sleeping on a couch. I also noticed I could feel movement when my 3 cats and dog jumped on or moved around the bed which was annoying. The second night, I slept really good. I slept diagonally (I know I’m weird) and was comfortable in every direction. Maybe it was just the edge of the bed that was uncomfortable? The third night, my daughter slept in bed without the animals so overall less movement, she wiggles and normally rolls around a lot, but she didn’t that night (I think!?).. So I was pushed all the way to the edge. Because I was comparing night one and two I thought maybe the edge was just harder than the rest of the bed and was the reason I was uncomfortable so I thought it would be a similar experience—— It was not. I didn’t feel her movements, and even with her taking up 90 percent of the bed, I was just as comfortable as the night before which made me think the center of the bed had just needed to expand more than I allowed it to the first night. My daughter commented that it was the most comfortable bed she’s ever slept in. She has a $1500 twin size pillow top mattress, which I love and in the beginning I wanted to find one just like it — but my budget and anxiety to leave the house to find one made that impossible. Night 4 (last night) I slept with all the animals again. I slept on the side of the bed, I have NEVER slept that good. I have terrible insomnia/ that is partially caused because I’m worried I won’t wake up in the morning and will be late. I have always had in my head that if I slept uncomfortably that it would be easier to wake up in time because I wouldn’t want to sleep anymore. Normally I wake up multiple times a night which is how I always knew all the different positions I slept in during the night. I laid in my bed last night and all I could think was I have never been this comfortable in my life. I sat in the middle of the bed and V played on my phone a bit.. comfortable. I fell asleep on my side not constantly reminding myself I need to fall asleep. It just happened. I woke up to my alarm (usually I set like 10 alarms to get myself up). I felt completely rested, woke up to my only alarm I set, and got a FULL 8 hours. I didn’t have to trick my brain with freezing water to open my eyes. I was and am for the first time completely rested. I am blown away. I now agree with everyone who gave me a hard time about my sleep patterns saying I’d be better at waking up in the morning if I slept on a comfortable bed. I can’t emphasize enough how amazing the bed feels and in return how amazing I feel. This bed deserves 10 stars. Thank you so much for creating this bed. You made my dreams (ba-da-dum-cha) come true.

I haven’t had it for a while to write a real good review, but I like the feel of the mattress, it was pretty stiff at first as expected, now it’s starting to break in. Only thing that I hope doesn’t happen is that after some time of use that you start to sag into it. I can start feeling like I’m starting to lay in a hammock. I don’t want to keep turning the mattress around constantly, but only time will tell. To recap it’s a very nice mattress and does seem to be good quality. You do get a sleep trial with it and that is one of the reasons I purchased it. I figured if I don’t end up liking it , at least I can return it..

I purchased this mattress thinking a plush mattress would be great for me as a side sleeper, but upon trying out the mattress I realized I need a firmer mattress for my body type and sleeping habits. The mattress was great quality and a perfect plush mattress for sleepers that benefit from plush mattresses, but it wasn’t for me. So I reached out to the seller and they were very understanding of the situation and helped me make it right.
