Water got into the lights from rain/snow and they stopped working. He took the light off his car every night because he was afraid someone would steal the light so they were only out in the elements while he was driving. For the price, you won’t find a better light bar. I use it daily, sometimes over 8 hours and it works perfectly. Magnetic and strong. Stays where you put it no matter how fast you are going. I use it for traffic gigs and it can be seen very well. Only issue I had was that the plug wire was very short and the attachment would get caught in the door. Easy fix....Add about four feet of wire and cut the attachment off, then wrap with electrical tape. Problem solved. ... show more

    • Decent unit for the money but not bright enough for me.
I bought this unit to replace a shorter one I have been using for the past two years. The unit was advertised as having the same wattage bulbs (3 watts) as my current unit which is very bright (bright enough to hurt your eyes when standing in front of the vehicle - in the daylight) so I assumed that this would be as bright. Unfortunately, it was no where near as bright. I think it'd likely be 'OK' if only used at night but as a volunteer ambulance driver, I need a light bar to be effective during the day to get me to the station quickly and safely and I don't think this would fit the bill. This light bar was simple to install. The brightness is fantastic. It goes in my firefighter/EMT son's Jeep for times when he needs to light up on the road when he is off duty but first on-scene. The light bar is a great size for his Jeep Wrangler. I feel better about him being so well-lit on the side of the road.
