It was very simple to put together, but there were certain aspects to the build that were confusing just because I wasn’t organized when I did it. One of my shelves is upside down. One of the screws went in backwards and I’ve tore some things. It’s rather fragile when you’re not paying attention, but the shelf itself was able to be built and installed, and I’ve had it set up and holding all of my books and trinkets and things for two months now and I really enjoy my space and it definitely saved me some square footage by replacing two bookshelves I had in the space so this corner shelf really helped with that.Be careful of your strength; have assistance when movin

I almost did not buy this due to others' reviews; however, this is the only shelf with the measurements I was looking for, so I decided to go ahead. I am glad I did. The boards are like any other piece of furniture you buy, nothing different, compressed particle board. Just a note: avoid using power tools with this type of faux wood. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow—it's written in plain English and includes pictures. All you have to do is align the parts as shown in the images. I found the assembly to be simple, and the shelf looks beautiful. Just to clarify, I'm not a carpenter, just someone who can read and follow directions! As for value for money, the quality of items these days often doesn't match the price, yet we still purchase them because we want them. This shelf offers plenty of space and shelving. Now, I'm excited to decorate it! Good luck!

This is not an easy assemble. I recommend having at least two people to put it together. I also recommend using a screwdriver initially and then tightening with a drill. Again, I recommend having a second person to put it together. It is a beautiful shelf but it is large so it doesn’t put together as easily as a smaller piece would. It is sturdy. Some of the shelves may not seem as sturdy as they are but they will be once all pieces are assembled properly

This is the worst instructions I have ever seen! Pieces don't match up; doesn't tell you to flip pieces over to put on top. After a week it's still not put together and my husband is in construction and is pretty good at fixing and putting things together. He's going to drill holes to make it fit together. Definitely do not recommend this product!

Fed Ex always massacres my furniture deliveries but this was packaged so extremely well that everything was completely fine. There is a thick wall of styrofoam surrounding everything! Took about 2 1/2 hrs to assemble while watching tv. First take out parts box and ensure all parts are there, then ensure all boards are there. Then assemble. Instructions make sense just pay attention to the diagrams and where holes are to make sure you have the proper orientation. I didn’t by myself but highly recommend having a second person to lift the assemble pieces of top of each other in the last steps. Good value, built well, solid board backing- not just a thin piece of cardboard material. Weighs 114lb, looks good. Fits in corner nicely
