This watch is great! The only thing I don’t like is the battery life — I only has had it for 2 weeks and battery runs down quickly. I allowed phone calls , that may be another reason for the battery to run down quickly! Otherwise it trucks all my steps and oxygen levels and many more.

As an iphone user I bought this watch knowing the limitations and I was ok with them. I own a cellular Apple Watch SE but wanted a better looking watch for when I go out. I mainly like to use smartwatch to track my walks / steps and record my fitness activities, I don't care much about answering calls or texting from my watch and you can't do that with an iphone, not with imessage anyway. After testing this Fossil watch I found the battery would die very quickly I would have to charge it two times a day for it to keep up. It doesn't come with Google Fit you have to download that otherwise you only use Fossil's very basic exercise tracking software. I found Wear OS 3 to be somewhat laggy on this watch and coming from Apple watch it is not as fluid or as easy to navigate, the Apple Watch to me is just far superior and it's only the Apple Watch SE first gen. I'm not an Apple fanboy, I've used android for many years but right now Apple products to me are better and they cost more for a reason, Apple stuff works and their devices are quick, smooth and work best with other Apple products and also battery life is much better on Apple. I do like the looks of the Fossil watches but if you have an iphone I would recommend staying away.. I have not tested with an android phone but I suspect my opinion wouldn't change, this watch is laggy, the battery is really bad, i would pass. ... show more

Looks great, but it's kind of a PoS. 1) The watch arrived approx 70% charged in the box. By the time I had finished setting it up, the battery life was under 20% 2) It has a proprietary charging system, so good luck replacing that if you damage or lose it. 3) It gets warm. 4) WearOS is not super intuitive. It takes some discovery to find all the settings to get everything working. 5) Lot's of comments online (Fossil, Google, reddit) about not being able to get the weather app to connect. It took me about a day of fiddling with everything to get it to connect. All I want is a large format 50mm+ watch with a battery that will last a couple days. ... show more

I've had a Samsung Active 2 since they came out and was overdue for an upgrade. Was gifted a Pixel 6, but decided to go with Fossil over Google for my smartwatch. I'm full of regrets. This watch isn't even as good as the SA2. I've only used it 6 days and have already had to reset to factory. Only, it didn't REALLY reset. Step count jumped by 20000 steps for no reason ,prompting the reset, and after reset has settled on a surplus of 2000. I waited until after midnight to see if it would self correct and go to zero, it didn't. I don't know why there isn't a way to reset one stat instead of resetting the whole watch, but it's all a fail. Watch faces are very limited, and trying to change and customize the available options is frustrating. Sometimes the changes are applied, most times they aren't. Watch tracks sleep, but doesn't sync sleep data to app unless I turn off wifi. This ONLY happens with the sleep data. Battery life is less than a day, but the fast charging helps ease that pain. Watch is supposed to be able to mirror DND on phone, but it doesn't follow the rules. Notifications and calls that are allowed during DND on phone don't come through on the watch. It's also frustrating that the developers thought anyone would want the watch to take precedence over the car audio system. If you enable taking calls on your watch and you're driving, the call rings on the watch and answers on the watch. Switching this while driving is dangerous. Watch is beautiful, but the band is horrible. It picks up every little bit of anything. After 4 days of wear, the soft matte finish of the silicone on the strap stays has rubbed off and is shiny. I was trying to make this work, but it's a no. What should have been an upgrade feels like the opposite. ... show more

I really like this watch, much better fit for men then pixel watch and much better battery life as well. It is not however much of an upgrade for gen 5 tbh. Battery life is slightly better, addition of Wear OS3 which is nicer but not really any better. Haptics still stink, speaker is pretty good. I don't like the way notification come in especially when you get a couple of them in a row. The screen goes opaque with the time showing and you have to clear the message to get to your stock dial. This one is a little hard to explain but pixel watch / fitbit watches do a better job here. There is few options to adjust how you interact with messages but never landed on anything to my liking. Pixel watch though a less powerful processors is much smoother and syncing with the phone is much better. Fossil would routinely time out, regularly I had to cycle Bluetooth to get it working again. As far as fitness it has the basics but accuracy is meh at best. Ultimately if you want directionally accurate basic health features and primarily want a smart watch that looks great this is a good option. Update:. Spent more time with pixel watch, they last similar amount of time on battery. Speaker on the fossil is much better then pixel watch. ... show more
