  • Wow. An information-heavy crash course into starting a successful food truck.
This book is one of the most comprehensive books I've read on any niche business like this before, and it really lays out the groundwork for having the proper resources and mentality to be a successful business owner. When it comes to opening a food truck, you might get the idea that it's an easy task because you see a lot of people doing it, but the truth is, when it comes to food, there is more failure than success. This book gives you a realistic look on what to expect when starting your food truck. ... show more

  • A Winner
Anybody even curious about the idea of maybe trying the food cart business needs to read this book. I can't envision a more comprehensive, better organized, easier-to-read guide for inexperienced but motivated entrepreneurs. The writer's style is clear and concise, without the excessive personal storytelling that clogs up so many books like this. The information is well laid out, the graphics are great, and I especially appreciate the author's inclusion of the value of pro-active social media promotion. This book is a real winner. ... show more

  • Encouraging
A fascinating read on Food Truck Business Guide. I was delighted by the author's inclusion of a sample business plan, which can be useful when beginning a new business. Several factors go into running a company, but owning a food truck is especially challenging. There are too many different factors to remember. Menu products, venue, pricing, food storage, and food preparation are only a few examples. This book is very useful because it keeps you focused and helps you learn how to do something that seems to be difficult. What a fantastic read! ... show more

  • comprehensive look at a niche business
So many of us think it might be fun to open a bed and breakfast or start our own food truck without much of an idea about everything that goes into it. Good food alone will not make a food truck successful. This is a very handy read that hits all the key things you need to know before starting your mobile restaurant - marketing and promotion, design and, most importantly, how to set margins and turn a consistent profit. Super informative and eye opening if you're thinking about your own startup... ... show more

  • Well written, and straight to the point. No errors. Every page has value.
Most restaurants fail within their first year. It’s not about how well you cook or how much money you’re making. It’s about your margins. Is money following in enough to offset the cost of operating? Food trucks are great because they cut a lot of costs that come with opening a restaurant. Obviously, it’s unrealistic to not consider own special issues that come with owning a food truck. I think this book goes into good detail explaining them. But, they are shown as warnings of poor planning. I’d like to have seen more of the downside of owning a food truck, but no harm is done. Still a good book. ... show more

  • Insanely detailed and practical
This guide had everything I needed! Literally I never had to go to any other resource. That alone made the price worth it. I mean literally this book was around 15$ and I feel like I got it for free because the value is so insane. I am telling all my friends about it because it changed my whole business. As a bonus it's also COVID friendly! ... show more

  • The right book for the food truck business.
Very eye-opening. I've wanted to do a food truck all my life. This clrearly is what I needed 25 years ago. The best thing about the food truck is, no matter how good the food is, you still have to make money and you have to make good margins. This book shows you how to make good margins and run a good food truck business. I can't wait to start now. ... show more

  • Very Helpful
Book is very helpful. As an owner of multiple restaurants there was a lot that is common sense to me but may not be for others. We are looking to downsize in the future and this has helped us understand this type of business more than we thought.
