This is so great! There are soooo many beautiful colors. I ordered them thinking I was still going to have to mix colors to get what it want. Not so much. I have been able to just use the premade colors. That makes me so happy! Theres really no flavor that I can detect. The colors are strong so I didn’t have to use too much. If I had been able to review the list of ingredients I would have never purchased these “food grade” colorings. Sadly I cannot return. These contain Dyes that have been known to cause cancer. In the garbage they will go …

The food coloring arrived in a box with 33 very small bottles of colors. Each bottle is labeled separately, which is very nice as there are a lot of variations of colors. Initially I was concerned that there wouldn't be that much difference between similar colors, but was happily surprised that the variations I used all came out with obviously different colors. The colors are very concentrated and I only needed to use a drop or two for each medium-small dish of frosting. This FOOD COLORING LIQUID SET will give you a rainbow of 33 colors to choose from. This set gives you an opportunity to experiment with using food coloring to add color and artistic flair to the food you are already creating in your kitchen. I consider this to be more of a beginner or test set. Though it gives you the opportunity to try a lot of different colors, there isn't a lot of food coloring in each tiny bottle. The good news is that the color is highly concentrated. For maximum results, you’ll want to use it at full strength without diluting it with water. I think most people will find there are probably a few select colors that look best for enhancing their particular culinary creation. Colors you use frequently, you’ll want to purchase in bigger bottles. If you want an opportunity to see just what you can do with food coloring and what colors are available, this is an excellent kit to start with. I had great success using one of the blue shades in my buttercream frosting. The color didn't take quite as well on hard-boiled eggs, but I may have diluted it too much. Without diluting it, I don't think a single color would cover very many eggs. The bottles are just too small. This is fun to try. Serious or professional users will need more food coloring than comes in one of these little bottles for any kind of volume work.
