Description

As a Mirror Glaze it provides a spectacular crystal outer glaze to your fruits, tarts, danishes, pastry products & can even be poured on to cover cakes. It’s great for cheesecakes, mousse cakes, & birthday cakes. Directions for Glazing: Put the required amount of cold mirror glaze into a bowl & stir until it becomes a smooth texture that can be easily applied. Then with a brush or a spatula pour directly on to your fruit, pastries, tarts, & cakes. To adjust & soften the texture, place the Glaze into the microwave in 5 sec. intervals. As a Piping Gel it is a wonderful decorating tool that will allow you to use your imagination and creativity. It’s great to use as an edible glue & pipes very easily, perfect for writing words or drawing details. Mirror Glaze Piping Gel can also be colored beautifully with soft gel colors & even luster & petal dust colors. To adjust texture, mix with buttercream frosting or whipped cream for a softer & smoother texture to stabilize & add body, also increasing its ability to accept color.

This product has been our secret ingredient for cakes, cookies, any and all food product decorations. The only problem is if you use it with marshmallows it needs time to dry. If you are just mixing it with your basic food coloring you will find it is always susceptible to damage. So contemplate it’s use. I find this gel great as it is flavorless and odorless. It shows up brilliantly bright when used like a paint on a food product. The primary problem I found is the vendor only offers a large portion vs smaller sizes for home use. Love the glaze and shine the piping gel left on the strawberries and raspberries of a Tres Leches Cake I made. Just stir the amount needed and apply on fruit. So easy! I think the value for the amount is worth the price, especially since you can use it for much more than applying on fruit. The image adhered beautifully to the top of a buttercream frosted cake without it needing to be placed on fondant first. Abd it did not make the image bleed. Having celiac means you HAVE to make a lot of your own, well… everything. I found this, and used this to make slime for a ghostbusters cake, worked out swimmingly. And it’s apparently gluten free! I will be keeping this in my dessert toolbox.
