I put this in my mud room to sit on to remove my shoes, my mud room is a very old room and the studs are too far apart to attach both attachment point properly , I removes the paneling and put in a cross board to use as attachment point . this was very time consuming but worth the work , make sure you have strong hands because my drill wouldn't fit under the seat to screw the screws in. I drilled all pilot holes and run the screws in and out a couple times and then installed the screws into the fasteners on the chair with my hands . OUCH! it fits fine and is very useful to sit on while putting on shoes to take dog out to walk. the feet on the legs screw in and out to adjust and level the seat that is a plus. all in all it is well built and worth the money if you are handy enough to put it in. good luck

I had my walk-in shower installed before I thought of purchasing this shower chair. As a result of that I wasn't sure where the studs were behind the shower tiles. I bought a stud finder but it gave inconsistent results. I didn't have a hammer drill which is the only way to drill through the tile. I hired someone with the right equipment to drill into the tiles. It wasn't easy at all. While there are three holes on each of the attachments to the wall, I only drilled one hole for each attachment. It seemed sturdy enough but I was worried it would eventually fall away from the wall. So I bought liquid nail glue and put it behind each of the wall attachments. So far it has worked quite well. I am so glad I went through the effort of having this installed in my walk in shower. I don't always need to sit while I am washing in the shower, but it is quite convenient to put my feet up on it in order to wash them. I just wish I had thought of this before I had the shower installed. I am sure it would have been much less trouble for me. But all in all, everything seems fine now.

I tried using the seats that are sold with no legs and have found them to be flimsy and unsafe. After trying a couple, I settled on this one. I’ve installed 5 or 6 in bath remodels that we’ve done and have had no issues at all. The seat is sturdy and easy to install. I always make sure to use mortar under the fiberglass pans so the legs cannot poke through. I have always set the pans in mortar anyway but I make sure the grids on the bottom where the legs will sit are packed full. This makes for a nice solid floor and no way the legs will poke the pan. Seat folds up nicely and stays in place when not in use. Just make sure you place the wall brackets in the rounded out grooves on the rear bottom of the seat and it will work smoothly. I’m sure I’ll be back to buy more of these.

Like that the chair is small and fits well in a small walk-in shower enclosure. Like also that it folds and is made of material that can take the water and humidity in the shower. Was easy to install. Strong enough chair to hold at least a 200 lb. person.

Bought this for my dad’s apartment which has a small shower. Liked the fact that it has legs and seems sturdy when installed in a fiberglass shower. What I don’t like is that it is hard to fold. The locking buttons for the legs are hard to push, especially for a senior and the seat constantly falls back down because there’s no locking mechanism to secure it to the wall when folded.
